Jamie Moessing
Jamie Moessing is copy editor for her family business, substitute teacher, and has served on boards representing causes from education in Ecuador, to K-12 music and athletics in California. Jamie spent much of her childhood outside; splashing in the pond, climbing cherry trees, and sleeping on the front porch swing allowed her imagination to run wild. Backyard adventures later became realities as Jamie spent time living in Great Britain, Germany, France, and Paraguay. Eager to make an impact on the world, Jamie earned a Masters in Education at Stanford University and taught middle school. Her ESL students came from a dozen countries, teaching her far more about history and culture than she had ever learned in a classroom. She and her family have continued to explore the world as travelers, hosts to exchange students, and through the books found on the shelves of their local library. "Do Kids Have Chores in Timbuktu?" is Jamie's first book.
