All Dressed Up - Emily Yager
CHAPTER ONE
She turned in the last of her paperwork. Even the project files for the one that wasn’t due for another week. Done. The last thing she needed was more problems coming up to ruin what little time she had left. Gathered up her purse and coat. Took a glance around her cubical. Double-checking that she wasn’t forgetting anything. Made her early escape from the office.
Stopping at the coffee cart in the lobby, bought herself a drink on her way out. Thankful no one was there to strike up a conversation with her. There wasn’t time.

Right now?
Ainslee looked her straight in the eye. I am about to leave. I – I have an appointment to get to.
More like family drama.
Uhm...Right, you only work a half day today.
Mrs. Dillard scrolled through her phone for a minute before continuing. Tell you what, there’s an, um, okay, meet Colson today, four o clock, at the coffin races downtown. That’s the best that I can do for you. Because this is urgent.
Yeah, okay, I can do that.
Ainslee leaned back in her seat, rolling the window back up. Four o clock, that didn’t leave her much wiggle room. Her plans for
