About this ebook
Historian Matt Robichaux travels to the isolated town of Bancroft, home to celebrity horror author Hayden Lodge, to assist Lodge with his latest project, a novel set in the days of the Byzantine Empire. Matt is to live in Lodge's home while he is visiting, along with Lodge, his mysterious assistant Max, and his terrifying handyman Gabriel.
Matt spends his free time exploring the peculiar little town, meeting some of its equally peculiar residents, and he soon finds himself in the midst of a series of strange erotic adventures.
As his questions keep piling up, Matt begins to wonder: Is Hayden Lodge playing some strange sexual game, with Matt as a pawn? Besides Lodge, the town's other claim to fame is the renowned and respected International Drama Society and its elite school for the performing arts. Is someone using the Drama Society's resources to stage Matt's experiences? If so, for what conceivable purpose? Or has Matt actually stumbled into a place where time is not always a one-way street, and desire can shape reality?
Dobie Holloway
After spending the first part of his life on a small farm far away from the call of temptation, Dobie Holloway packed up and moved to the big city, where he discovered that a skinny blond farm boy could go far, especially when the word "no" was not in his vocabulary.. Today, Dobie lives quietly with an assortment of animals and a few select friends way out at the back of beyond, where his lifetime of experiences gives him the materials and perspective for his writing.
