Aliyah: The Poetry of David benLevi
()
About this ebook
Aliyah is the immigration of Jews from the diaspora to, historically, the geographical Land of Israel, which is in the modern era chiefly represented by the State of Israel. Traditionally described as "the act of going up", moving to the Land of Israel or "making aliyah" is one of the most basic tenets of Zionism.

David benLevi
David benLevi (poetic pseudonym of David Lewis). Retired Royal Canadian Navy Lieutenant-Commander, poet, artist, author, husband, father of five great kids, papa of one incredible little peanut, and furbaby grandpa of many. If he's not writing poetry in the cedar scented shade of Mount Herzl, you might find him stuffing his face in Mahane Yehuda Market, or painting, back home in his studio in Canada. His heart however, always remains in Israel.
