About this ebook

A reflexion on the eight Beatitudes of the Sermon on the Mount that Jesus of Nazareth left us as Divine knowledge for our benefit. The author believes that these sermons of Christ are addressing even these days the current chaotic situation of our world and our fallen human nature, and affirms that our world disharmony and violence are related to our refusal to accept and manifest in our lives the wisdom of these eight beatitudes, and that if these were truly followed, they could manifest through all of us a new life for this planet and a true path for the construction of a new heaven and a new earth.

How relevant are for the Christian nations of our world these teachings now days? Have they manifested in their societies any conformity with Christ’s messages in the Sermon of the Mount? Have these truths any vital importance to our lives?

Are we as Jesus’ followers, more humble, pure of heart, compassionate with others and ourselves? Do we hunger for righteousness and justice in our interactions?

Or is the obedience to these beatitudes impossible, impractical, and dangerous in our present times?

Is the fact of becoming Jesus-like as these beatitudes propose, a pipe dream in this violent and chaotic world? Can we find through the wisdom of the Sermon of the Mount the true meaning of Christian discipleship? Are we willing to live our lives in response to the beatitudes?

Do we have to live our life like Francis of Assisi or others like him, choosing to live Jesus’ words by
