About this ebook
Now that Andi is no longer running a hotel for dogs, she decides to start a new project—a newspaper for dogs! With her brother Bruce and a few friends, the kids make a hit out of their paper. But they also attract the attention of some mysterious dognappers. Can the kids find the criminals and bring their dogs safely home?
“Readers seeking wholesome fare will appreciate the resourceful characters. At bottom, it is the dogs, from loyal Red Rover to pampered Bully Bernstein, who should win best in show.” —Kirkus Reviews
“A plot that mixes journalism and crime into a potpourri of canines and middle-school moralizing . . . kids with a yen for dogs and a low tolerance for suspense will be comfortable with this.” —Booklist

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This review is written by Sarah NNews for Dogs by Lois Duncan is the book that I will be reviewing. It is a really good book for readers who love reading about dogs. News for Dogs is a familiar piece in many kids’ childhoods: finding creative ways to make money. Unlike lemonade stands and other less rewarding ways to explore the business world, Andi and Bruce (her brother) find a cost-effective way of appealing their talents and creative energies. But it isn’t long before their untrained business skill leads them into trouble. It has a creative side to it that when you read it this will never make you want to stop reading the book. The addition of a dog napping plot may seem far-fetched until you read it within the context of the growing storyline. News for Dogs has a huge heart, and the author’s characters aren't afraid to show theirs - which means young readers will find this an engaging, exciting and thought-annoying tale about both the best and worst instincts that man and man's best friend have to offer. Each page will burst out at you and say that it wants to be read. Some of the pages that you read will take you into another world and thinking about how life would be in the story. This book is an action and an adventure. It includes many real-life aspects of the world around us. The story includes a brother and a sister (which I mentioned earlier) getting a news paper about dogs, for dogs. I willing to continue the series bit-by-bit until the end comes. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes dogs. So read it and find out if you like it, I did.
