About this ebook

A sophisticated man with a life full of exciting adventures around the world, succumbs to the exotic allure of Brazil to fulfill a dream triggered by an hypnotic song that he first heard as a child. His disbelief in the supernatural is then challenged when he meets a beautiful and mysterious woman on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. She is the very image that the song invokes as she seduces him into an hallucinatory romance that haunts him and forces him to re-examine his disbelief in the paranormal.

The titillating hint of mystery and romance that lurks in the glow of the Brazilian moonlight has fired the imaginations of many, and every now and then, a child is born somewhere in the world that grows up with a curiosity about what adventures could be awaiting them in the seductive allure of Rio.

TERRENCE BUTLER WAS BORN in 1954 to very loving, working-class, British immigrant parents in Windsor, Ontario. He was an average child, living a below-average existence. His father toiled his life away on a night shift assembly line at the large car manufacturing plant that employed over half of the city’s population, while his mother did her best to be a loving mom and a caring wife.

Throughout his school years, Terrence was envious of his classmates whose parents were better off than his. While they paid for his friends’ camping trips and European excursions during the summer breaks, Terrence grudgingly stayed at home working a neighborhood newspaper route to help his mom and dad make ends meet. He vowed that when he grew up, he’d work hard and save enough money to afford
