Am I The Memory? Poems Of Celebration And Inquiry

About this ebook
These poems were written as part of an inspirational "100 poems in 100 days" prompt in Your Quote platform in India (www.yourquote.in). Though many of these poems were written for that prompt, several of these poems were taken from my old collection that were written in Tamil and translated to suit the occasion.
I have tried in many ways to define poetry in this collection. I realized I could not define it except by pointing out to the various possible origins. The origins are often mystical and intriguing. These poems reflect my fascination with it. The philosophy of India has influenced me. Jiddu Krishnamurti’s influence is palpable as well. Cinema has influenced me and so have my vivid dreams. They have opened a gate to a perspective that may be unique.
Poetry has a reality of its own. I have tried to take you along on this journey using the tool of language. I hope you enjoy this first collection in English.
