Kit

Inearly melted last night. It was so hot, I was actually surprised when I lifted my arm up and it was still attached to me, because I felt like a puddle. I woke up earlier than everyone else, probably since I was hotter than everyone else, too, because I sleep with a big, warm dog who loves cuddles, and even with the window open, the air was like simmering hot syrup. Which, by the way, is very difficult to stay asleep in.

My brother Jack was still snoring, with his arms hanging off the bed. I felt too sticky to wait for him to wake up, so me and Silver climbed out of bed and went to find somewhere to cool down. My dog is called Silver because he is actually silver. He used to be a statue made of silver, but Merryshields turned him to life. Merryshields is full of all kinds of magic, but Silver coming to life and being a real dog is my favourite.
