    Foreword

Time-travel, magic spells, ghosts and things you see may not be real, or are they? In what way are they similar? There are some who say these are supernatural phenomena, while others say they are just fairy tales. Others have reported seeing and even feeling the presence of a ghost in many cases. In the years to come, many fairy tales will be written, as well as others that have been written. You don’t normally hear of a fairy tale mixed up with a true story of a person who lived before us. In the following pages you will read a reimagined story that chronicles the life of renowned German poet and author Erich Kästner. Erich Kästner was born in Dresden, Germany at the turn of the century. He became best known for his 1929 book Emil and the Detectives. The book Das Doppelte Lottchen was written in 1949. It was the basis of Disney’s classic comedy/musical THE PARENT TRAP.. I hope you enjoy this fantasy adventure, which is filled with time travel, magic, and some sinister characters.

This story is based on, the film, I Am Erich Kästner a musical produced by my company, Family Films Productions.

    The film stars -

    Little Erich (Jacob Kaufman)

    Younger Erich (Isaac Becker)

    Young Erich (Coleman Bryant)

    Future Erich (Conor Sheehan)

    and Older Erich (Hauke Bahr).

As the story continues to involve, twists and turns and he even encounters some sinister characters (Elias Flynn played by Alec Morales) (The Guard played by Jacob Pettyjohn) (The Ghost – played by Michelle Stuper) and Introducing The Witch played by Aaron Pacentine.

There are millions of people in the world. In addition, I would like to express my gratitude and respect for a few of them. Unfortunately, two of them are in the grave, and two are still alive. As young Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Judy Garland captured the magic of the film in both her amazing mannerisms. If her life had been longer, I would have wished to have met her if she had lived longer on this earth. To Michael Landon, I wish I had the chance to meet you as my father did when you filmed Highway to Heaven. Your wife Cindy continues to honor and cherish your memory daily, and I have great respect for you and your family.

Last but not least, Landon Parks and Aaron Schultz. Both of you have been there for me in the good times and the bad. We’ve had a lot of fun hanging out together and working on various projects over the years, and I appreciate your both of your friendships. Thank you Landon for your positive attitude about life and for being as cheerful as I am. Aaron, thanks for being understanding.

    A THANK YOU TO MANY

Without the amazing author Erich Kästner, this book would not have been written, and he should be credited first. In addition to my research, I have learned so much about him and his life from other historians, including:
