WHO IS PETE BUTTIGIEG

Pete Buttigieg, known by his alias as Mayor Pete, was the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, in which he served for two terms. Buttigieg, a Harvard University graduate, and Oxford Rhodes Scholar, were also enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve. He, later on, got notoriety and rose through the ranks to become a lieutenant when he was dispatched to Afghanistan last 2014. In April of the year 2019, he announced that he would run to become the next president of the United States in 2020, making him the country's youngest and first openly gay president in the country's history.

Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg is the only child of Jennifer Anne Montgomery and Joseph A. Buttigieg and was brought to this world last January 19, 1982, in South Bend, Indiana. Buttigieg grew up in a different part of town, the surrounding Notre Dame University, known to be the home to thousands of students and professors.
