Stapling the last set of documents for the day, I place the stack in the outgoing bin on my desk. With the work week behind me, I can’t wait to spend the next week relaxing. I’ve been working so hard for so long at a job that I hate. It's time I do something for myself. All the mundane paperwork and files will be here when I return.

My friend Sandy peaks her head around my cubicle doorway as I’m getting my purse and keys. I’m so jealous. That picture you posted online showing off that resort you’re going to looks absolutely fabulous.

I’ve been planning this trip for so long I can almost taste the mojitos, I say with a wistful smile.

Well, you’ll have to have a couple for me too while you’re there. And hey, do me a favor. No more social media posts broadcasting where and when you’re going to be gone. It’s not safe.

Ok, ok, I won’t. But I mean really, who’d wanna attack me? I'm nobody.

Having packed my bags the night before, I don’t have anything else to do tonight so I decide to get a ride to the local bar. The Barrel is crowded and loud even this early in the evening. It’s one of the most popular spots in our small town.

There’s an empty seat at the bar and I quickly occupy it before looking for the bartender. Standing at the far end of the bar is a handsome man pouring a drink for one of the other patrons. The simple sight of his muscular arms and shoulders tensing as he works sends butterflies through my stomach. His plain black tank top is stretched over his impressive pectoral muscles.

He catches me staring and winks at me before passing out another drink. My cheeks begin to heat up as I blush at having been caught checking him out. But honestly, who could blame me? This man radiates sex.
