    Refer to TC 3-21.5, Drill and Ceremonies; MCO 5060.20, Drill and Ceremonies; AFI 34-1201, Protocol; and DoD Dir 1005.8, Order of Precedence of US Armed Forces.

    Military Joint Service

    Flag order (marching right-to-left): Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.

    In times of congressionally declared war only: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Space Force.

    All joint service guidance in every manual requires an individual from each branch of service to carry their own departmental color.

    Cadet organizations sometimes carry all colors. They must be carried in the same rank and never subsequent ranks (massed colors formation of two or more ranks).

    Flags in the massed colors formation’s second and subsequent ranks are for unit colors only, never any other
