About this ebook

2000 years of Christian Theology prohibits the very thought of the topic of this book. This book discusses the author’s view on a topic rarely, if ever, discussed by mainstream Christianity, the trespassive proclivities of Almighty God! Yes, God can, has, and will trespass!
The Holy Scriptures are replete with evidence that even the trespassive love of God can cause unmitigated, and sometimes unbridled grief in our lives. This is not new Theology, but rather Dr. Jesse McGuire’s personal view on a subject that may have never been discussed in a public forum, in mainstream Christianity. There are people all over the world, who are living with an issue with God due to a loss, or misfortune. You may find yourself, and your particular situation revealed in the pages of this book! You too, can absolve God of His trespasses, in your life!

    INTRODUCTION

    This is Some Next-Level Theology!

"The nerve of this guy… talking about he forgave God! As if God sinned against him!"

    - Billy Bob the Christian

I See Something Different. I now hold in my hands, an old rusty can opener, and a brand new, unopened can filled with plump, juicy squiggly worms (more commonly known as new revelation!). Now… you tell me… what should I do?

I’m an outcast… my title: Reverend Doctor… but, please call me Jesse (those of you who knew me as a kid, you can call me what you used to call me way back then!), that way, we can communicate; whether you are of the high and lofty ilk, or struggling 24/7 with some sort of deeper issue, you and I can still have this conversation, ok? Thanks, in advance.

What do you really know about God… that is to say, other than what someone else has painstakingly drilled into your permanent memory? How much of your knowledge of God have you attained by listening to the latest sermon series, or attending the latest, greatest Christian conference, in years past?

Consequently, how much knowledge regarding God, have you gained by opening the Bible, and immersing yourself in its texts? Finally, what knowledge of God have you received, that was the direct result of the illumination of the Holy Spirit?

I’ve posed these questions because, it has always been a matter of consequence that has compelled me to search for God in a deeper, more profound way. Consequently, my searches have always been through conventional methods of study i.e., books, tapes, TV programs, etc. It wasn’t until recently that I was contemplating the question of my having to forgive God for a circumstance that He either allowed, or that He, himself caused, that brought tremendous stress, in my life.

That is when my search began for the eternal question, of whether there was ever a need for God to be forgiven, for anything, on any level. Bear in mind that for there to be a need for God to be forgiven, there must first be a theological doctrine noting the errancy, fallibility, or culpability of God.

Currently, there is no such doctrine in either ancient Christian Theology, or contemporary Christianity. However, there is significant, citable biblical evidence to be garnered and utilized, if one wished to formulate a divine, trespassive theology.

However, I am sure that the fore-stated theological premise would no doubt be quickly branded heresy, by contemporary Theologians, Potentates, Episcopus’, Didaskalos’, Bishops, Rabbis, and all that are of that particular ilk. I am not a contemporary theologian, just an inquisitive observer, who has been trained to think critically. I hold no special office within the Christian Church, nor am I in danger of any form of reprisal from an ecclesiastical potentate, as I currently do not belong to a particular denomination.

I once had a seminary professor who absolutely loved biblio-scripto controversy. A better way of stating that would be, that he enjoyed students who could think critically, so long as those controversies could be reconciled with Scripture, and that, by proper scriptural exegesis. In other words, he didn’t mind if you challenged the authority of Scripture, so long as Scripture itself, could successfully fend off that challenge!

This is not a new doctrine! This is not doctrine at all, but rather it is my own experience, right or wrong, and mine only to share. I realize that I must think responsibly as I write this book, and that I must exude a certain level of theological, spiritual, cultural, and social sensitivity. Not only that, but it is imperative that I am also biblically, historically, and exegetically correct, and one thing for sure, I must be right about that!

Let me forewarn you right now… I will wear several different hats during this short discourse. I will also tell you that I will wear a certain hat when you think I should take it off, and I will absolutely change hats when you think that I should stay the course, wearing the very hat that you love/hate the most! I might even put my dry sense of humor to the test. Consequently, at some point, I may wear no hat at all… especially when you think that my own head should be covered, while standing in a so-called Holy place. Speaking of standing, I think I’ll keep my shoes on… to better escape the impending stoning, from compiling such a disputable work.

The universal problem with any new discovery, revelation, or illumination of God, is that new insight about God, especially if it derived from either an extra biblical source, or an amalgamation of thought, is quickly deemed heretical by the established order, simply by virtue of the fact that the revelation itself, is new.

Even though the Bible declares (at least that was the prevailing Johannine supposition) that the world itself (at least at that time) could not contain all the information that was available at that time, about God (John 21:25).

However, in this contemporary society, our most egregious mistake, both currently and historically, was, and still is, striving to confine Almighty God between two book covers, and then disseminating His divine containment into 66 books; several of which are either antiquated, culturally and socially irrelevant, merely historical, poetical, or divinely uninspired.

Please note that I stated that several books, not all of them, are merely historical, poetical, or divinely uninspired. What remains of those inspired writings were incontestably inspired by the Holy Spirit, and written originally, by the hands of divinely inspired, Holy men of God.

What do we really know about God? Is God shrouded in secrecy? or is he realized in mystery? Are the deep things of God off limits to the common man? or are those things hidden in the biblical texts, revealed to us by the Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 2:10) (Ephesians 3:5)? If there is a flaw in the character of God, do you think God himself would admit it? Finally, if we found such a flaw, would we, as proponents of God, expose it, running the risk of derailing 2000 years of Christian Theology?

This book deals with the tangible discomfort and tension regarding many different things, and the fact is, this stated discomfort and tension, is about assigning blame! Hurt, suffering, disappointment, and profound loss, are the bitter artifacts of the Law of Cause and Effect, or the principle of Causality (causation), establishing one event as the direct result of another. Consequently, when both the cause and the effect of an event are established, then it is time to assign blame! The alarm went off because the bank was broken into and robbed! Now, which one of you knuckleheads broke into, and robbed the bank? Cause and Effect!

We could (rightfully?) assume that Causality plays a colossal role in the pain and suffering that Christians experience daily in this earthly sojourn. In antiquity, the egregious circumstance of human suffering was quickly attributed to an angry, vengeful God (Romans 12:19), however, the effect of human suffering was always attributed to the suspected cause; Sin (Genesis 4:7).

And even worse, there was also a school of thought that human suffering was the result of God somehow seeing the need to teach us something, and using human suffering to do it, which is even worse than the first notion posed earlier in this introduction. Even worse than that… many times there was no good, fair, earthly, or immoral reason for God to impose such a hopeless deterrent in the first place (Job 1:1).

Where did this idea of blaming God, then forgiving God, originate in the first place? After all, who can lay a charge at the feet of Almighty God? And, if you could possibly get that far, who could you find that had the authority to prosecute the Creator of Heaven and Earth? Who then, could read the verdict? And finally, who would be powerful enough
