Mohsen N Harandi
Mohsen Harandi was born in 1957 in Tehran and at age 18, after his parents passed away, he moved to United States and completed his undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees at the University of Michigan. He has been working as an engineer in a Fortune 500 company since 1981 and he has published a number of technical papers and has been awarded about 200 US Patents. He was introduced to the mesmerizing beauty of Persian poetry by his grandmother and since childhood has been studying Persian poetry masters like Hafez, Saadi, Rumi. After attending an English poetry class in November 2016, he started to wake up repeatedly in the middle of nights and write English poems that came to him. This collection is a sample of these poems written in a period of several months. His wife Olga is a Russian Canadian painter, poet and geologist and they live in Pennsylvania. His daughter, Dena, and son, Mahyar, are married and live in the United States.
