Featuring an interracial and multicultural cast that includes African-Americans, Cherokees, Hispanics, and a German refugee, academics, historians, down-to-earth cops, and country folk.
Last Train to Danville is the second novel in the Roth/Gannon Murder/Mystery series, centered on the principal characters of Harriett Roth, and Don Gannon. Harriet is a master sleuth and owner of her own detective agency. A strong-willed woman who demands and commands respect, she is somewhat of a reclusive figure, with a history of her own. Don Gannon is her primary investigator and right-hand man, clueless with women, a veteran, and ambitious.

R. M. Morgan worked as an engineer in both the U.S. government and academia. In his job, he investigated mysteries like a detective, unraveling the physics of car crashes to establish how to save drivers and passengers. After years of writing articles in the non-fiction world, R. M. Morgan discovered the joy of writing mystery novels. Currently, he lives in Southern California and is writing the third book in the Roth/Gannon series.
