Promises of snow is a story set in a dystopian world. The inhabitants of the last continent survive as best they can, due to scarce resources, people are restricted to a secluded life.
Electricity is limited to certain hours, snow blocks roads, blizzards threaten the city. Children nostalgically remember times when they could leave their homes. Only adults go out to attend work or in search of supplies, that a state without resources distributes in the white streets to contain the population.
There is a place where the weather is still warm. The government tries to hide it. An expensive project has been developed, exclusive for a few.

From the window of the office, he saw citizens protesting, burning trash, shouting through megaphones, lining up to secure supplies.
Guards watched, ready for repression.
Blizzards hit the city, causing destruction, the frost gnawed plantations, animals perished frozen in the fields, and the endless night. The snow block most roads, homeless people died on the streets.
He remembered Clara’s gaze, Rebeca, and Agusto’s games. They had a secluded life, the desire to go out, was drowned in nostalgia. They had to accept it, it’s the best for you
, said the adults, who came out dressed in neoprene jackets, snow boots, gloves, hats, whatever could help keep them warm and confront the hostility of the weather.
Under these circumstances, he fantasized about the recurring idea of a warm place, a beach.
Although the planet was in a period of purge, as some scientists called it, there were a group of islands in the tropics where it was still hot, the sea was clean and, vegetation grew. This information was not official, the government was trying to cover it up.
