BOOK II
The author is a highly imaginative and creative craftsman who has been called a ‘wordsmith’ by Ed, an elder fellow writer from a decades-long creative writing group. As well as ‘a great storyteller’ by Tim, another old wise friend.
While perhaps actually even done to most degrees, the message of the novel includes life IS out there and we just need to travel and seek it. The author relates and is highly motivated by astronomy, having seen the ring nebula, Jupiter and Andromeda, telescopically speaking.
The author has 3 poems published in an anthology, The Poetry Table, in 2017. It is a high caliber group of active poets (and a painter!). He is an art reviewer, artblogger of titled ‘Artblogspot Nova4Baza’ inspired by an artist friend (, Dasha Bazanova.) He wrote poetry, prose since adolescence, true to life journals-logs of his trips abroad, and enjoyed doing analytical English essays as a teen in school, and had a published short French piece in a high school publication. Another published high school piece was done in English. He has numerous (~250?) short, non/ poetry works written over the last decade and a half from Creative Writing Group led by Columbia students in NYC. He assembled a book of poets and artists posthumously, The Diamond Lens, for 2 of its 7 poets. He submitted an original article on Notre Dame, on fire in April 2019, to Time recently, thanks to encouragement from his fiancée, Nancy.
The Atlanteans stood simply agaze at the sheer majesty, still debating whether they truly were in one piece and just how they made the amazing trek through the oceans, just …awesome.
Those panels really were engineered wonderfully, uncanny even more so than the shields for protection- hardly left us with a scratch, according to my ship, and neighboring T4 diagnostics.
T3 retold.
They all stood agaze and a-maze at all the refound majesty, lay open before them like an open book. SO sweet it was, the taste, the ever present flavors, and aroma of dear earth- it was like a gift regifted back after eons upon ages, and they truly, sincerely felt it. There also was incumbent upon them now a type of pressing weight, a major urgence, to reconnect and reconvene, and announce their arrival to all the other Atlantean countrymen and brethren.
Yet they were still in a state of shellshock as they tried to get used to and wrapped their arms around their journey back to, and their current state of resting, hopefully peacefully back on earth.
We must reunite with our countrymen/ brethren, but first can you imagine the blistering, seething heat of magmafire and the maelstrom of pure energy we just put ourselves through- with the dome open, we are breathing true and good air at long last! I mean the crispness of the flavor of, the fresh honest to goodness breathable, living air that blossoms all throughout this fine green land, versus the half ashy subearth staleness we were not quite breathing- such a stark contrast!!
Pilyortha, on the North side of the band of explorers, exclaimed gleefully.
Yet they had to perform a major shove to be in touch with all manner of their countrymen who they had neglected to be in touch with throughout their mission- this involved ALL the people under the dome, who were in essence on the other side from where they were. Yet they were also still marveling-
We made it, pristinely with the aid of the panels that really held up.
Thorstakki mentioned.
Without which it would have been 100% certain for us to burn up.
Bazscla pointed.
True, that is the truth, Lucky for that- excuse me, a master of manufacturing skill and fine level of science and scientific craftsmanship. We ought to have gratitude for saving ourselves.
Thorstakki thanked.
And foresight indeed.
Pilyortha reminded.
"Now very important that we first rise to the urgency of contacting, rallying and purposefully reconnecting with our countrymen. I mean, no time at all to waste,’’ Thorstakki urgently exhorted.
Now that they were romping all over the mainland continent, there might be limited time for figuring on connecting to their countrymen, which given their techno-prowess, wouldn’t be the hard part. Yet although they had to rebuild, there was certain time left yet as they stood in awe and wonder still at their Atlantis back on Earth. Which was awesome in itself.
Limited or not, they were set on making connection to their fellow Atlanteans at all cost. Such a rapture and sheer joy. Oonstreip, Thorstakki, Pilyortha, Hilrushik, Bazscla, the Atlantean lovers (Dasanilla) were feeling as enraptured as the Americans including Kathy, Sara, Capt Daryl, Richard, Robert, Willammette, and Cecilia.
There were hovercraft circling overhead, they would flag down a passing hovercraft and take it all the way to almost full Northern Atlantis, where they could all begin to reconnect and retell their saga about how they brought the lost continent back, besides the scientific community in the North would make a good set of ears.
They waved and their arms flagellated, and they caught two hovercraft, with just enough room for a ship full of adventurer- explorers.
Yes, greetings, countrymen. So you say you’re the ones that have been instrumental in getting back to (surface) Earth?! Wowzers, yeah can you believe what an incredible ride its been? How in heaven’s name on earth did you all manage such an otherworldly, beyond supernatural feat? I never dreamed that in 50,000 years we’d ever be back up here- it was frightful- I thought for sure the water pressure on the glass dome would crack-
Well, we made sure to fortify and sublimate-fortify the shields to ensure the safest passage possible.
informed Oonstreip to the pilot as they began flying.
That was advanced thinking- so where are we heading now?! I’m Habazti by the way. I’m a scientist and aerospace engineer here in this quadrant. Pleasure to meet you all."
Yes, we thought it would be an appropriate start to head north to the heart of ther scientific community, in Azantan, before reconvening in Northern Poseidonis to discuss our building plans with the government there" Thorstakki further informed.
Pleasure to meet you as well!
Sarah exclaimed pleasurably. What are you working on these days, Habazti??
We are working on new sky stops. Thanks for being curious, lovely lady. They are for sky lanes that would equate to rest and snack stops, for families you know, -and travelers. Right in the middle of the existing hoverport stops- recreational, not like those emergency business meeting stops, y’know?
Uh, sure, right-
pretended Sarah Well, we’re impressed. Onto Azantan and the rendez-vous with all the scientists we go- I hope they will agree with our plans.
Which are what? What plans do we speak of?! Do tell!
Now the curiosity was turned Habazti’s way.
Firstmost, we are planning to rebuild what the continent has lost over the centuries upon eons- we will introduce better and more cohesive advanced cities that will bring her to the current century, and fulfill her promise as a center of advanced technology and an overall vibe and tone of a model society, with individual cities that produce educational and ideological marvels not to mention products, interconnected by a fantastic web of hoverways and communication lines that strive for a humane unparalleled level of advancement for EVERYONE- an unprecedented ATLANTIS 2.0
confessed Thorstakki.
Whoa that is an ambitious sublimated vision. I hope for godspeed in that rebuilding
wished Habazti.
We are already underway and plan on touching down on all the major Atlantean advanced centers- of medicine, science, especially building and engineering, communications. We will truly make up for time lost to millennia trapped in the earth.
Oonstreip was visibly beaming.
That is great, not to mention very beneficial for the continent and our growth- I will be sure to notify the skyport powers that be that the-
Azalareans!!-
… Yes, the Azalareans have returned to impact the next generation of city planning and urban building superprojects which will bolster and blow the mind off of our existing cities and introduce bold new ones to the continent!
Habazti heartily smiled.
That is very much the plan- details to be revealed as necessary- we are rearing and ready to go, and know how to begin, having thoroughly gone through a host of city models and plans, plus several contrasting combinations for enhanced cities that will just blow the Council of Elders away- a totally incredible set of citybuilding parameters unlike the likes of which Atlantis’ nor Earth’s denizens have ever seen !!
Wow! The Council is known for being difficult these days, but mostly just since they are aging. It is apparent, and with some nudging they are likely to pass through just about any good ideas that grace their ears.
noted Habazti.
Oh? That is good news to be sure, which gives us yet more momentum. By the by, have you heard how the international consortia of forces have reacted to our resurgence, our renaissance upon the surface dwellers’ here on earth??
Oonstreip gave Habazti a concerted, concerned look.
Ah, well we HAVE been taken more than a glance at by the world, that is more than understandable indeed- and oh have we- I believe the United States, Italy, Spain, Russia, Canada and China have already been made aware of our presence- and have sent envoys to both the SE and NW shores, or attempted such, only within the past hour or two-
Of course it is to be expected. I am tickled with excited anticipation to understand the nature of their envoys- to simply welcome us to the international community or do they want more?
Oonstreip was somber of countenance, extremely eager for response.
Oh, it was a full-hearted and warm embrace
by the nations to the Council, a display of ambassadorship and to establish wondrous contact with us, upon our unexpectedly fortuitous, fruitful and incredible incredible return to the earth and her…Atlantic Ocean! Named after our Atlas!" Habazti was in sheer rapture too.
That is so wonderfully heartfelt, and though somewhat expected is not as expected as we might expect. I wish I was there, at both introductions- I am so considering what was said, yet deeper than that WHY WHY these nations have so embraced us so quickly- of course we fascinate all who confront or meet us, we mystify and befuddle, spark, teach, and enlighten all who touch us- this is a magical moment still as we newly re-enter the atmosphere- our historic cities still shining like ancient gold- our monuments speaking to that long gone golden era of humanity so yearned for- that by our presence now so many desire to be taught and enlightened from-
Oonstreip was holding his head high.
Indeed- we are a shining beacon, and according to your prognostications will continue to be- there is such a progressive energy that radiates out to the world-
Habazti shot back.
Surely we have our detractors and critics here in the world? Have you heard of any??
Thorstakki poked.
Yes, some of the more backward nations simply do not understand. They honestly are unable to comprehend our level of ultra-advancement, so in being left behind have become our not-so-vocal critics.
Habazti returned.
Ah, we can bring them current and into the fore, and reach them yet. Just lets wait until we rebuild some quickly and soon enough, then there will be plenty of room to reach them yet. There will be enough time and place to not only make contact, but touch them with our advanced brand of magic progress.
Oonstreip could barely hold back.
That is most certain- eventually we will touch them, if not completely turn them around. It will be gradual, as it will take time both for them to come to grips and see how we must change them- for the better and improve their lot, AND for us to complete a rebuilding effort
commented Thorstakki.
Now let us speak to that effort- it will take us, even at our advanced rate, the better part of a good thirty years to rebuild, and make five cities anew, we are merely at the beginning. With a preserved semi-volcanic Atlantis now back and resurging like we once were on the wide Sargasso sea, we only need wait awhile before we are truly thriving and back in the fore making every kind of positive impact here and before long, globally,
Oonstreip was jumpy.
This is a truth if there ever- we need to rally more to make this happen, although. We’ll have to recruit some multitudes to rebuild Atlantean cities- this is no trifle of a project! I truly hope you have not underestimated the ground that must combine and interconnect to put such an ambitious plan together- even to set the plans will take awhi-
Habazti the engineer trailed.
Balderdash~! Oh,. we’ve taken good care of that, to assemble the plans is certainly our specialty, no need to fret there. We have sublimated and supersublimated to the point of counting every detail save actually building new cities- its been a rather fiery endeavor, to say the least-
retold T5C1.
I suppose that’s a doubletake on-
Habazti peppered.
You would suppose right- those unstoppable fires below really fostered our imaginations taking off and going through brainstorming after a collective sublimation session just pining and sending our minds off on their independent and collective dream-to-reality pathways so we could really maximize our process.
Thorstakki was still in amazement.
And now destiny has finally arrived.
The ship flew over the gleaming, gilt cities just shining in the Atlantic sun, besides creating a breathtaking view restoring an ancient-fed season of renewed hope and a pride so indelible, so deeply imbued in the natives, and even the Exploresses were beginning to somewhat catch on.
This is a pride and joy, I can only imagine what these cities stand for and what their very being, so very awesome, is. And will be. These look to me like intergalactic centers of alien conferences among other wondrous and unimaginable centers of advancement in astronomy, environment, and economy- it is such an amazing sense of huge pride and a testament to Atlantean ingenuity, innovation and progress. Pray what two cities ARE these here?!
Willammette probed and queried with an investigative eye.
We are just crossing into the NW quad now, citizen- these sister cities here are actually miles apart, yet they appear practically immediately adjacent, which is illusory. This is for a reason, so as to be more fortified as having the appearance of two cities unified in tandem together. They are Rataclan and Antafton.
What is underlying their need to appear as one, unified, or fused, together?
They are interdependent of each other for goods’ supply. One supplies the raw materials to make and distribute all types of glass and refine corundum, the second hardest natural substance. Without one supplying the other, Antafton, would not be able to be overproducing glass, as it contains all manner of facilities and resources for crafting, refining, making, turning over, and ultimately producing the final glass products to ship everywhere in the continent. Also, all kinds of gems and minerals are refined into both renewable fuels and precious stones for other parts, to distribute everywhere on the continent. Thus the central location here,
Habazti finished.
Aha, that is auspicious and brilliant, to site such a key manufacture and refinery center at such an intersection of a location here.
remarked Sarah gleefully.
Yes, Atlanteans both realize the source and the strategic advantage of having put the sister cities here, just south of historic Poseidonis, and central to the entire continent
Habazti responded.
It is very much a testament to our will, resolve and forethought as a people and a strong unified nation. There even are other clusters of symbiotic cities encircled not too far from this locus, to double on this advantage of centrality. This way the distribution hitch is always solved, nooo problem. For instance, we will be coming on a set of three city centers renown for the refinery and processing of iron ore and cement for steel and concrete, which can be intercombined to distribute with Rataclan glass. Since we have command over location already, all innovations revolve around continuously innovating to progress shipping ever quicker.
Bazscla added.
There is always flowering and evolution of process with constant new discoveries- how to make raw products into materials lighter, stronger, more, durable, better looking, more sustainable. If I didn’t have a deadline to arrive at my destination, we would stop to speak with and interview the inhabitants-citizens on some of the latest advances- for instance, I know that there is an improvement in cement technology and admixtures that allow for a much quicker set time, and paves the way for stronger, more durable, faster turnaround in building time- only in the last year or so and the machines doing the building have only grown even to make the stages faster, and safer, to harness the improved material. We even have harvested rare earth minerals and other elements from the earth’s mantle and within the sea which have improved and beautified the mix, making it more sustainable and long-lasting for the ages.
Habazti remained proud.
Well we are here to make it only better and ever MORE productive, that is an Atlantis of ever higher and heightened productivity, so we are just jonesing to get to our destination so we can get going, and fulfill our destiny, making a real effort to not merely recreate or create cities anew, but have responsive, breathaeable, ultravibrant, sensitive, interactive cities that that allow us to redefine our concept of cities altogether, why of course they need updating yet additionally to dynamically, responsively transition to modern times with a solid measure of studies that will pass through the Council with flying colors!
Thorstakki beamed with joy.
As it is they have high standards and you are aiming to even best those, so I must admit you are ambitious-
Standards?! We are going to shift the entire paradigm and bust the whole concept of our dear cities will be popped right out of the jack in the box! We are aiming for an entire radically new redefinition across the land and sheer across the board! This will change our very way we, and anyone who visits, thinks and behaves in our cities- no time to even stop for a breath, THIS is our time!
Oonstreip was forceful.
Wow! You MUST elaborate- this sounds unbelievable in its ambitiousness and scope, just undaunting and dauntingly awesome!! Do explain!
Habazti was intrigued.
Well, we have sincerely major plans to expand and enhance the concept of cities, for instance to capitalize on tradition by keeping the city plan and form, but redefining interconnectivity within and between cities by introducing cities with newer plans and more functional and parceled, interlayered between function and living and the delicate connection between layouts that will enhance the entire experience, and meaning of living and participating on all levels of culture, science, education and beyond integrally in the cities.
Oonstreip gave a look deferring to others for future explanations.
That is so fascinating, Sir Oonstreip.
Yes, we know this- yet we will need to convene representatives from all areas to the Council in order we receive optimum input before we undertake the grand undertaking of crafting and creating a set of brand new vibrant cities- for Atlas’ sake, this will shake up and rattle the upper echelons to the core AND the people will undoubtedly benefit, be wooed and wowed by beautiful, improved cities and their thriving city-centers as live-work factories of genuine refreshed and amazing cultural wonderfulness and wonders. We aim to even expand the concept of city to incorporate more thriving areas, not at the city centers abut at select pockets throughout the city!
Oonstreip had such a genuine smile engraved across his visage, it was infectious.
This will indeed propel us to being leaders on the world stage, back on the world-class among the developed civilizations on our earth- not merely pride. The ability to change the planet, with almost all the civilizations that are falling behind- for the better, making real change happen- always and constant." Habazti gave a keen eye.
Now we must pay prompt attention to the distribution and production efforts, as well as key recent scientific and medical research, so we can begin our revolution, begin to implement this added plan from our good advanced cities, to affect the needier parts of the globe- it will be a marvelous gradual rollout which, after easily flying by the Council of Elders, will hit and surpass standards by the nations- eradicating disease, injustice and poverty will be our aim, in a fell swoop- creating centers and cities of achievement globally, to fulfill this implementation at local levels, propelling governments and world organizations to majestically higher and more, new heights!
Halleluya! About time!
all echoed, so very resoundingly.
Chapter 196
They flew high like they’d never done in their uber-hovercraft, surveying all from on high, majestically gazing upon gleaming history as they neared their destination of Azantan, narrowing in on the Council and just reconjuring every other second their indomitable visions of a renewed, spectacular world and Atlantis.
What a monumentally inspiring feeling it was to set sight, lay eyes upon that grand ‘LOST’ CONTINENT again from high in a hovercraft perch- they were amazed, flummoxed, and awed by such a marvel as was theirs, amplified to the max now because it had been so very long!
What was it like up here all this time throughout the ordeal?? As we had no control whatsoever over our fate in the clutches of mother nature’s open, blind unpredictability, it’s a wonder we are reconnected in this time and spot, first off from the way, way subcontinental subcrust as opposed to the rest of the non-Azalarean world!
Thorstakki was stupefied and stumped.
We had heard of the expedition, yet had hardly known of your efforts- as they weren’t publicized, much less known regarding this fortuitous meeting now, that you all would just slam right into our field of view and we’d be taking this flight together! How was the entire ordeal-adventure down there for YOU?! Must have been burning hot down there!
Habazti lined question.
Certainly, was more than that- like we burnt up and somehow survived! Now it’s a matter of figuring just how we landed here hitching a ride from you, which we are historically thankful for, thank you. Thanks to you, Habazti citizen!
The Capt. was playful and sincere, extending a quick glance of recognition to everyone.
And to you, fine citizen!!
Habazti addressed the main non-Atlantean chief, elevating the mood yet further.
They took their flight ot the next height, zooming ever more stridently and deliberately while Habazti turned the acceleration up as they were just under 2/3 the way to final Azantan, ever drawing closer.
The next hurdle to climb would be the people- and taking all the news to the edge ideas had to be spread! If they were to truly succeed in their grand designs, there would have to account for all the people being reached and affected by this shifting and connecting past to present, jolting into the future like a bolt of lightning, and reconnecting Atlantis to the nations of the earth!
It was a deeply engaging moment in times of Atlantean history’s annals, with their once again majesty surveying the lands that were again theirs, and generating such pride and renewed renewal upon renewal of inspiration were gifting them all with that priceless sense, that precious feeling: of unlimited possibility.
Which indeed was a priceless and important feeling: the unlimited, the unhindered, the wide open future. This was integral to Atlantean philosophy and advancement: That together, all had a role in building a better future. It was beyond exciting, beyond exhilarating, it was deeply ingrained in the hearts and sensibilities of a people, of a nation, of a great civilization.
The survey lasted as the denizens of Atlantis hadn’t gazed upon their own land in some time, hadn’t had the opportunity to glimpse their own land, so vast and gorgeous and gleaming, in such a long stretch of recorded, unmeasured time.
They blasted right forth into their destiny, that majesty of flight, and heights right in the skies above the lands less than 5000’ up- the skies giving that soaring feeling of sheer majesty that they were not merely above Atlantis but IN TOUCH with it, as opposed to below it, where they were fighting for it. Now Atlantis, her farms, her peoples and systems so interwoven, interconnectable through her fertile grounds and quarries for progress and progressive, evolving scientifically methodical advancement were giving back, to her Azalareans.
Flying high was not the primary task they were achieving, as the Atlanteans were carrying big plans with them on their mind. So this was setting them in motion, with those already concrete visions coming ever more into serious and more tenable focus. Seeing their old lands for the first time in awhile was distinct from the fact of their work set out before them anew, of course inspired deeply by their former achievements, this was entirely new territory, a bold new vision.
The temples and amphitheaters loomed and stretched beneath them, amazing symbols opening up worlds of trials and life ahead of them. The new lives they would open up with rethought, revamped, and redone cities certainly was in the realm of the limitless, although the population had grown somewhat significantly and rather sharply recently as they realized they were the remnants of a civilization built of greatness that they wanted to continue to plant the seeds and grow. The leadership had fostered this in the event they would one day resurge and so it was an overabundant joyousness when realized just how despite their former circumstances, that day had come where they rose, and the population reflecting that growth as they flew above it all, so their new cities were just in time and just of the moment, to catch the latest population spurt!
We are mindful that your plans come just in time for the population growth that has been slamming the continent of recent, in the past 100 years!
Habazti related.
Yes, and this is why we’ve been called upon to unfurl and provide new cities for the benefit and glory, the use and posterity of ALL Atlantis and Atlanteans!!
"What a journey and saga will be embarked o n- a new era of golden living and productivity for the continent, and to
