Weight Loss Diet Introduction
Go Gluten Free, Discover Quinoa and Enjoy Weight Loss
This cookbook is designed to bring, not only great tasting recipes for the gluten-free dieter, but also to show new users, how simple it can be to look and feel better, Made popular by a host of celebrities, the gluten-free diet is anything but a fad. Section one will give you facts about what gluten is, the advantages of going gluten-free, and changes that you can expect to experience. Section two holds fascinating facts and recipes on a little known replacement food that helps you set up your new gluten-free diet. In addition, tips, meal planning and lots of recipes, will show you how easy it can be to lose weight and feel great.
What is Gluten?
In order to understand the benefits of following a gluten-free diet, you must first understand what gluten is. Gluten is a protein that is found in wheat, barley, rye, and other related grains. Through a complex chemical reaction to water and friction, gluten is the binder that gives bread a chewy, puffy, appearance and an enhanced flavor. Gluten is also used as a thickening agent for soups, ketchup, salad dressings and dairy products. So, to say that cutting out bread is going to keep you gluten-free, is inaccurate.
Gluten Allergies and Intolerance
There is one section that deals with those that have been diagnosed with gluten allergies or intolerance. Even if you are suspect to having signs of a negative reaction to gluten, this diet could be just what you have been looking for. Digestive problems, tiredness, depression, erratic menstrual cycles and joint pain are some of the leading indicators of being gluten-intolerant. Recipes that offer remedies to the side effects of gluten, using many foodstuffs that you currently have, are outlined in the first section of this book.
Main entrees such as Cheesy Mexican Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, and Lamb with Yams and Apples, will show you how leaving out gluten, does not mean giving up flavor and variety. Together with sides, such as a Heart Healthy Spinach Side Salad or Chinese Green Beans, you will find meals to be fulfilling, tasty and great for maintaining or losing weight.
The Benefits of Quinoa
Giving up bread, altogether, can be a tough move to make. It seems that everything in our lives consists of bread, yeast or flour, in one form or another. Quinoa makes the transition away from gluten less painful by giving you an alternative that is healthy, highly digestible, and mimics grain for using in the place of wheat, rye and other grasses, containing gluten.
Quinoa is an edible seed that is growing in popularity as a replacement for gluten-laced foods. While it is not part of the grass family, but rather a vegetable species, the consistency is perfect for taking the place of grain processed foods. Full of essential amino acids and lysine, the health benefits, alone, make quinoa great for cooking and baking. You will find much more about the benefits of quinoa in section two of this fact-filled cookbook.
Learn how to cook with quinoa through great recipes that are shared for vegan recipes, stir-fry, and exciting Mexican dishes. There are also beef dishes that make use of cooked quinoa, that has zero calories, but full of nutrients. Quinoa is the perfect way to begin a gluten-free diet, or a weight loss program. Regardless of the type of food that you enjoy, this amazing product can make your goals simpler and more convenient.
How Gluten-Free Equals Weight Loss
Learning how to prosper on a Gluten-free diet physically, is not an imminent sign that you will lose a desired amount of weight. However, by paying attention to what foods contain gluten and how to prepare from the enclosed low-fat recipes, you will begin to notice the pounds shedding. Researchers are still struggling to come up with a firm reason why gluten-free diets have this effect. Perhaps it is the make-up of the proteins that interact with certain foods, or the fact that you are paying closer attention to your overall diet, or even that you feel better overall, but those who have tried it, are convinced of one thing, it works. Although only 1% of the population has been diagnosed with gluten sensitivity, the structural makeup of the chemical process on the body, as a whole, has yet to be determined.
This book is designed to show you how gluten-free cooking can become part of your lifestyle, in more ways than one. Cholesterol lowering, more energy, improved mood, weight loss or maintenance, clearer skin, and controlling celiac disease, are a few of the assets that can be gained by trying to live your life without gluten. More debilitating conditions, such as type 2 diabetes, certain types of cancer, and heart disease, have also been noted, as improved, when a better diet that contains fresh foods and gluten-free products are part of your life.
You will find everything documented for more discovery on topics that make claims of how a gluten-free diet may be the answer to many of your health concerns. Do your own research by visiting the grocery store and reading the ingredient labels on packages. Don't be surprised if a light bulb goes off in your head when you pick up your favorite donuts and discover that they contain gluten. Next, consider how you felt, the rest
