Prologue

Something is hovering in the sky! What could it be? Why is it there? It’s big, black, and shaped liked a…HAND!?!?!?

It looked like it was hovering over the Sun! My heart began racing, as time seemed to slow down. Confused, I looked over at Jonas (my brother) who was already looking at me with his mouth wide open.

Out of nowhere a booming voice comes from the sky. We now control New York, your land.

Immediately, wind blasts emanating from the air-ship furiously blew away everything in the area. Homes, trees, and office buildings were destroyed and blown around like paper in the wind.

Where was our Governor? Our President? Anybody! Why isn’t there a military response? As I was thinking this, US fighter jets stormed the scene, furiously firing missiles at this alien vessel. Their efforts were pointless. The Hand-shaped aircraft simply fired powerful, red lasers, destroying all 45 fighter jets in a matter of seconds.
