As a poet, it should be easy for her to express her feelings. But it isn't.

As a teenage girl, she should have lots of friends, and maybe even a boyfriend. But she doesn't.

As a daisy, she should be fresh and energetic. But she isn'.t

She wants the strength of a daisy as it blooms after winter. She wants God's strength

Daisy almost felt a chill brush over her as she scribbled the word down.

Flowers hibernating.

She wished she could curl up in a blanket.

Cosy.

Safe.

She wrote those two words down.

Bounding across the field like a kangaroo. Mrs Belle read out.

Not what I expected, but it will do. The English teacher began to write another simile on the board, disapproval smacked across her face.
