Kandis Lighthall
Kandis Lighthall was a recipient of the Carol Gray Award for her contribution to the field of Autism Education. During her career in special education she has been instrumental in establishing inclusive education programs for students with disabilities in Canada and California. Currently she is director of Autism and Behavior Training Associates Publications and Products. She received her BA from Sacramento State and her MA from California State University at Chico. She has taught in a variety of settings including general education and special education, and was also a Program Specialist in the area of Autism. She taught curriculum classes at California State University Chico and courses in Autism at University of California Davis. She has been involved at the state level in the development of the education specialist credentials, Inclusive Education projects and Least Restrictive Environment committees. She has lectured nationally for the Bureau of Educations and Research and internationally in the South Pacific for the University of Hawaii.
