About this ebook

What is Mulligan stew?

It has been said that Mulligan stew was a common meal prepared by American hobos, usually in camps, in the early 1900s. Another variation is called "community stew," a meal put together by several people by combining whatever food they had or could collect.

"Not Soup, but Great Mulligan Stew" is a collection of food for the soul. Topics range from beauty tips to innocent insights, songs and poetry to easy-peasy recipes, words of wisdom to challenging puzzles, pet peeves and much more.

You can "stew" over this wonderful little book at your leisure, to lift you up in your downtime. You'll find it's fun and light, a little sassy and bright! It will definitely put a smile on your face and maybe even a small tear on your cheek.

This little book can go with you anywhere, from your desktop to your bathroom (or someone else's) and anywhere in between. It is a great little read to pick you up when you need that little pick-me-up.

Wise Words and Points to Ponder

What if you had to choose to live as though it was your last day on earth? How would you live it? Would you choose to be more loving or maybe forgive and forget more easily? Would you give more generously or speak more kindly? We must remember that yesterday has passed away, tomorrow is not promised, but today is here! We need to choose to use today wisely and understand this; everything that is not of an eternal nature, is useless to us! It would also benefit us to keep in mind that the end of this life is only the beginning!

We’ve all heard the saying Faith can move a mountain, but have you heard that Love can move a heart?

Don’t be quick to judge someone just because they sin differently than you, but instead keep in mind, anyone who knows the right thing to do, but fails to do it…is sinning. As Iyanla Vanzant puts it; Live your life with purpose and the rest of your life will be the very best of your life!

We are going to continue bleeding and hurting until the deepest of our wounds are healed. We can temporarily stop, or slow the bleeding with bandages like drugs, gambling, alcohol, work, sex or a mountain of other things, but the pain will always find its way to the surface and ooze through again, only to need a new bandage. Instead, if we can find strength in our weakness, reach deep inside the wound and pull out the root of that pain, then our past memories won’t be able to keep us in bondage anymore and we can finally feel peace.
