Doctor Fau's Temptation: Diary of the Coronavirus Family Covid-19, Mutations, Variants and Vaccines
()
About this ebook
"You will not believe who is on the phone," said Mrs. Fau to her husband, "Try to imagine Bin Laden calling President Bush."
Doctor Fau listened attentively. He had devoted about two years to fighting the Corona family as the advisor of a few of the presidents of America, he brought them to significant achievements but was still far from reaching a solution. Even the finest Human scientists' ingenious methods of vaccination' were only lasting for a limited period of time and losing their power within a few months. And worst of all, the virus family was breaking every record with the variety of variants it created so casually.
As he listened to Vi-ri, the Genius's paced breaths became more rapid as her offer became clearer. Vi-ri's plan was spectacular and attractive. She proposed that together they plan and construct a model that would immunize Human Beings not only against the Corona family, but against the entire viral nation, by defining the "RNA core".

Chapter 1
Hi, My Name is CoV-2
Hi, it’s nice to meet you.
My name is Coronavirus CoV-2. It was I who caused the illness Covid-19, also known as the Coronavirus pandemic, and I have an international reputation as a champion of viruses, most of whom I don’t actually know.
When my parents created me, they called me Virion. I was tiny and always aggressive, but I lacked a living entity. They said I wouldn’t have a life until I’d grown and learned to live.
1_virion.jpgMe as a Virion
We were a huge family with lots of brothers and sisters, and my grandfather, whose memory wasn’t quite what it used to be, couldn’t remember our names so he decided to just name us in order: alpha, beta, gamma, delta. The rest he forgot. But my mother, Mama V-ra, told me that before she created me she had seven adorable virions who loved messing around with the Human Beings in the neighborhood and caused them all kinds of trouble, like colds and mild cases of the flu.
Mama V-ra was beautiful, and all the neighborhood viruses loved her. I admired the red tiara she wore on her head and bragged about it all the time. Whenever she passed by I would call out proudly to my virion friends, That’s my mom!
and they would gape in jealousy and awe.
Mama V-ra
My family always had a thing for pets, and we all grew up with gray and white mice, black bats, as well as larger animals like the ant-eating pangolin.
My father, Papa Co, taught us that viruses are unable to divide and reproduce, which is why we must enter a living cell, like a bacterium that is one hundred times larger than us, and use it to create millions of copies of ourselves. He called these copies replicas
. He taught us how to enter a pet without hurting it, and so we gained quite valuable experience that helped us in adulthood. We enjoyed telling each other stories of how the bats and the mice would compete against each other to see who we would enter on a given day. The animals really liked it, because our entrance tickled them and caused them no harm. We were very, very small—so small that the pets couldn’t even see us, they only knew that we were inside of them, enjoying swimming and diving between their blood cells.
I never met all of my brothers and sisters in person. They have long since scattered around the world, and whatever I knew about them as a child was from stories of their exploits that I heard from Mama V-ra. She told me that several members of our family had grand aspirations, and that the most famous of them were involved in massive epidemics against the Human Beings, our archenemies ever since they were brought to life by the Creation
.
She told of how my big brother, CoV, moved to China, and when he randomly entered a Chinese bacterium he happened upon, he created millions of replicas of himself using the genetic material of this poor bacterium, who then lost his bacterial pride and became a viral slave. My big brother aspired to create an epidemic, and, according to Mama V-ra, he made a pact with a flu virus and they teamed up to penetrate the Human Beings’ respiratory systems. They were able to cause a lung disease which my brother named after himself: SARS CoV.
Meanwhile, my big sister CoVa preferred to live in the desert. She became friendly with the camels there, she liked them better than the nomads. After a while, she migrated to Saudi Arabia and there she entered a female camel who was one of her friends. At that time, the camel
