Ann Rhodes was born in Georgia in a small rural city. She began writing poetry at the age of eight years old. She discovered her true gift of writing during her middle school years from her teacher. Ann was able to get a variety of poems published in the local newspapers, poetry.com, and even by WSB-TV. She is currently an elementary school teacher in the state of Georgia. In 2016, her first book of poetry was published "From the Beginning Until Now". Ann likes to inspire people through her writing and portray the message to always have faith and never give up hope.

    Eternal Life

    My Final Resting Place

    When Jesus brought the angels down from heaven,

    I knew they were preparing me for my final resting place.

    As I spoke to the people on my earthly home,

    I knew I was about to win this race.

    You see, God had already spoken to me

    And told me it was time for my number to be called.

    From the gates of heaven the angels were waiting for me

    To walk proudly with my wings down the hall.

    As the angels stood and looked

    They whispered, "You have earned your angel wings with your actions from being a respectful soul,

    We thank you for all of your peace, comfort, and praises that you would sing."

    As this transition takes place,

    I would like to say to my friends and family,

    "God has shown me the colorful rainbow to follow the path to gold.

    Therefore, there is no need to weep.

    And shed a lot of tears over me.

    Today is the day I am healed,

    Because Jesus has released me to become free.
