Cradle of Kings - Jon Dottingly
Author’s Note
EVERY LIFE MUST HAVE A PURPOSE, and recently the purpose of my life has come into clear focus. I, Jon Dottingly, am to document for you, the people of Earth, the events that brought into being the most remarkable prophecy in the history of our universe.
Last week, my latest quest in this grand pursuit took me to the Kingdom of Malakanth and the realm's all-important Province of Lyconia - the Cradle of Kings, as it's known. There, I would learn about this kingdom that has played such a pivotal role in the great prophecy's formation and its ultimate emergence. I would get a feel for its line of kings, beginning with the greatest of their number - a monarch whom history had dubbed Reginald the Great.
As always, Marissa Bonifay, a witch of high renown who has become the prophecy's chief advocate for the past two thousand years, accompanied me on this trip to Malakanth, as did the faunesse known as Rashala. And, as always, the entirety of this adventure took place within the transdimensional space belonging to Adolphus, the chronicler demon. Adolphus has been recording the events of humankind since before the Exile, back when he was a being of pureness and light. In truth, Adolphus has become an indispensable tool in my research.

Indeed, I haven't visited this place in quite some time,
said Marissa. And, surprisingly, the witch's voice conveyed the same immodest tone.
And I quickly realized why.
Indeed, the king's sprawling chamber
