    ABSTRACT

This book is the brainchild of interdisciplinary collaboration between experts in the field of rheumatology and orthopaedics. Understanding hand anatomy is essential to identify the causes of its dysfunction. Thus, we start by introducing the basic anatomy of the hand by recognising its bones and various important tendons of the fingers. This section also includes real case images of classical clinical features and varied manifestations of respective hand and wrist disorders which are commonly encountered in medical practice. These high-quality images provide long-lasting visual memory of subtle diagnostic cues and at the same time help improve one’s ability to make a bedside diagnosis. We have also included various images of orthopaedic surgical procedures which can be an excellent supplement to clinical case-based teaching.

Finally, we take a look into the role of radiology in the diagnosis of hand and wrist disorders and learn to
