Heart Notes Devotionals - Patricia Coppin

    Day 1 Devotion:

    CAPABLE!

Being assured of our capabilities provides the confidence to exist anywhere at all times.

Life has the capacity to change without sending out a memo. Sometimes it's as simple as purchasing a moisturizer you adore for 3 years and the company drops it from their line. Or, as devastating as going to work and finding a notice on the door delivering a message: Closing effective today, call this number

to retrieve your personal items. Having a relationship with God provides the chameleon protection plan. HE delivers sight unseen strategies for moving in and out of difficult and devastating situations. Yes, we become apprehensive initially, then suddenly the Spirit leads us to all truth in Him. Sometimes we’re skeptical to follow, but then suddenly we remember the last time He brought us out. God's ways are unlike ours/the worlds, but He never, ever fails. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

    1 CORINTHIANS 13:12

    DAILY REFLECTION:

After reading today's devotion along with the scripture provided, reflect on your feelings. What does the word capable mean to you? Reflect on a time or situation when God made you capable of doing something you or others deemed impossible.

    Day 2 Devotion:

    SUPPLY!

When we were teens and pursuing our dreams, excitement was in the airwaves and we relentlessly conquered them all because we didn’t perceive that we couldn’t. We were convinced we could obtain all needed supplies. We were assured because we lived in an environment where most of the intricate and necessary things we needed were supplied in the places we resided. Suddenly, we became the keepers of ourselves and with it, the responsibility of providing most or all we needed. Our parents/cheerleaders were no longer our Suppliers! Reality became the truth that we could no longer ignore. We needed a Savior! Not the 7 year old bible story one but the One who draws us near by His Spirit and encourages us with Brotherly Love then instinctively Supplies all our needs as the ultimate Father! As we mature in Christ, let's never forget that He is the constant lover of our souls and provider of our every need. My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

    PHILIPPIANS 4:19

    DAILY REFLECTION:

After reading today's devotion along with the scripture provided, reflect on your feelings. Describe a time God has been a supplier in your time of need. How did this experience impact your life?

    Day 3 Devotion:

    WAIT!

We all have found ourselves wishing for our wants and needs to be met immediately. Waiting for a change to come is easier said than done. Patience is difficult to have when your wants and needs are larger than your provisions. They cause you to make decisions based on sight and not the Spirit that sees. There are no shortcuts to life's fail proof resolutions. We all must acknowledge turbulence when it enters our life. Waiting on a carnal answer can weigh on both; our minds and bodies. Seeking direction from Christ develops both trust and resolve. Once we accept that patience is truly a virtue, we understand receiving direction from Spirit requires Waiting in His Presence. Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

    ISAIAH 30:18

    DAILY REFLECTION:

After reading today's devotion along with the scripture provided, reflect on your feelings. Reflect on a situation where you did not wait on the Lord. What was the result of the situation and what lessons did you learn? List a current situation where patience is required.

    Day 4 Devotion:

    ASPIRATIONS!

Do we really know what we want? Or do we all settle for the things we are expected to have. How joyful we all would be if we aspired to achieve the things we truly wanted rather than plights society expects us to attain. Most of our aspirations are only heard by the Spirit of God. We dare not openly speak of all the desires of our hearts; fearing criticism from those we respect and others who are critical towards anything that does not include them. Having secret aspirations allows us to reach our desired goals without being swayed from our original Spirit given course. When the Spirit gives us an idea beyond anything we’ve thought of before; simple or complex, we must chart our course with Him only until He directs us otherwise. Partnering with Christ in secret can be the most exhilarating feat we will ever experience. When completed, the revealing of the completed process/product will inspire you to reach higher in all areas of your life! But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

    PSALM 33:11

    DAILY REFLECTION:

After reading today's devotion along with the scripture provided, reflect on your feelings. What are 5 things you aspire to obtain?

    Day 5 Devotion:

    TALK!

When we share our truth it releases both our opinions and the ability to accept the opinions of others as well.

We all are familiar with freedom of speech. Lately, there have
