    Avenging the death of her father was a spontaneous reaction but it sent her on the run from the Finlay clan who wanted her dead. It was the kindness of hardnosed US Marshal Bass Reeves that cemented her decision to ride on the right side of the law.
    Texas was a large place to get lost in but it was a man’s world and if she wanted to exist in it she had to learn to think and live like a man. Being good with a gun and hard work kept her on track for her goal of owning her own place.
    When fate landed her a job in Abilene it was the kind of work that she never expected. Taming a rowdy cow town like Abilene had proven impossible for several others before her but they were yet to meet the Starr of Abilene.
