The life of a gambler is not an easy one and Jason Strathorne was staring at his escape to a real life in the center of the table. Lisa Bassett was unquestionably the most beautiful girl in Cheyenne and he wanted her as bad as he wanted his ranch, but circumstances seemed to always get in his way.
Someone was trying to kill him and he didn't know why so when the job as Sheriff fell in his lap he took it. Now he was at target with a badge pinned on his chest trying to walk a tight rope between the cattlemen and the sheepmen. It was a explosive situation with a short fuse and when the explosion hit he was the only one standing in the middle of the shooting.
