This is the story of the five years Paul Bacon spent living and teaching in the Far East. It starts with one year in rural Korea and moves onto four years in China. In the first part of the book Paul enjoys a sauna with a group of naked Koreans, explores the DMZ, eats dog, eats live octopus. In the second he witnesses the amazing changes going in China. He backpacks around the country enjoying some hairy journeys and strange adventures before working in a small-town school and then moving to work in corporate China.
Paul Bacon
Born in Rotherham in the UK, between 2004 and 2017 Paul Bacon worked and travelled across the globe. His first book Escaping the Ice-Prison detailed his time in Mongolia. He has also worked and lived in Korea, China, Turkey, UAE, Oman, France and Germany. He lives in the UK with his wife and young son.
