    The Guest

    Drake watched silently from the bushes in the ghillie suit he had bought from the hunting store. It was challenging to stay still, what with having so much anticipation for the party he would start soon. Jerry’s friends were pulling up to the house at present. Each arrogant young man had a beautiful woman on his arm (money tended to attract that sort of thing). Altogether, Drake counted twelve partygoers, including Jerry. They were already teasing each other about the disgusting things they would do to each other once they were drunk enough. Drake never understood people’s attraction to one another.
