- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Odysseus and his men have one the Trojan war and are heading home but the gods have punished them so they are wandering the seas and lands. They decide to stop on an island for rest and food and instead of leaving when they finish Odysseus is curious to explore who lives on the island. Soon Odysseus and his men are trapped with a cyclops name Polyphemus who wants to eat them.Polyphemus has them trapped in his cave and begins to eat them one by one. Odysseus must find a way out of the cave or the remaining men and himself will suffer the same fate. Once Odysseus is able to he gets the Polyphemus drunk on wine then shoves a burning hot stake into his eye “turning it around and around”.
