Intoduction to IELTS
IELTS means International English Language Testing System. It is used to assess the English proficiency of non-native speakers who seek international education or work in English-speaking countries. It uses a nine-band scoring scale that indicates the highest mark in the test for a candidate.
The International English Language Testing System is a globally accepted test. It is a compulsory criterion for admission into academic institutions in countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. To work in some countries, IELTS is also required for immigration.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test is conducted by British Council, University of Cambridge ESOL examination& the IDP: ISLETS Australia.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is considered one of the world's most popular and respected forms of English both in education and migration.
It has become one of the most trusted English- Language assessment forms and is globally accepted in over 8000 universities, immigration organizations, and employers.
There are two categories of the IELTS test
General Training Test (for candidates seeking employment in international setups. The class focuses on English survival skills, social and workplace language.)
Academic Test (for students seeking education in international higher institutions.)
A candidate's international English Language System (IELTS) score has a two-year validation once it is graded.
There are two types of language skills in IELTS
Productive skill (Speaking Writing) and Receptive skill (Listening Reading)
The speaking part is just like a conversation between two people (the interviewer and the candidate) where the candidate responds to questions asked by the interviewer. It could be about the candidate's likes and dislikes, family background or job experience.
The writing part is of two tasks: IELTS task 1 (letter writing) and IELTS task 2 (essay writing) given in the IELTS question paper.
The listening part involves a conversation between two or more people in a recorded voice played to the candidate to listen and answer questions given in the IELTS question paper.
The reading part is a comprehensive reading where the candidate is expected to read, comprehend and answer the questions given in the IELTS question paper.

Everything around us has names by which we identify them. Every member of our family has names by which we call them. Our relatives also have names, and so do our friends and other things.
