About this ebook

Eighteen-year-old Torino "Tori" Crystal, an extremely beautiful young lady, is feeling like her life has been completely destroyed. First, her parents were separately murdered three months ago and nobody has been caught and charged. Plus, she feels so isolated and alone since she's been made fun of pretty much her whole life for hanging out at her father's hot rod shop and not chasing boys. Mainly, however, it's due to the fact that her eyes are two different colors. However, as she's on the train from Queens, NY to Atlanta, GA, she meets twenty-two year-old Ted Carlton, a very handsome young man who owns his own auto detail and restoration business. However, the first time Ted sees Tori, it seems that her dead parents are trying to get them together. Plus, when Tori sees her new friend's farm, she suddenly remembers a dream she had of seeing this exact farm, and meant that the owner of it would help her. As their friendship slowly transforms, Tori's courage and self-confidence begin to slowly rebuild, but she keeps getting troubled by extremely disturbing nightmares. It's not until the end of the week that this young lady finally is told of her true heritage and how she must take her place and earn the title of 'Warrior Queen'.

A Bonding Love Tale of Two Car Nuts - Flying Carman

    CHAPTER 1

IT WAS A BRIGHT, SUNNY day in late July, but to eighteen-year-old Tori Crystal, it didn’t seem so great; in fact, it seemed completely miserable. Then again, every day for the past three months had seemed this way to her. She let out a deep, gloomy sigh and slouched in her seat on the Amtrak train that was taking her and her father’s green and white 1972 Ford Torino from Queens, New York to Atlanta, Georgia.

Yet, what am I going to do when I get there, she wondered, all I have are a few personal items in my suitcase, the small remainder of my inheritance, and my father’s old muscle car. Thinking about her situation only seemed to make the emotional pain in her heart hurt even harder, since she’d just barely gotten out of high school when she lost both her mother and father in quick succession three months before. However, she did laugh a tiny bit when she remembered how she’d gotten her nickname. When it had been time for her mom to give birth, her father rushed himself and her mom from the upstairs bedroom, but they’d just gotten to his old Torino when her mom went into labor and she’d been born in the garage, in the driver’s seat of that car. So, in light of that, her parents, Daisy and Chuck, had named her Torino, but called her Tori for short.

As the beautiful country scenery glided by her window, she began to wonder how people in Atlanta would think about her. They probably would think she was a stunner, with hip length bright red hair and size double-D breasts. However, if they took a closer look at her, she was scared they’d laugh because her eyes didn’t match. Her left eye was bright blue and her right eye was bright green. Also, she was tall for an eighteen year old girl, at five feet, ten inches. It was for these reasons that her childhood hadn’t been very happy, plus she was more into working on cars than chasing boys, which was also why she wore tank tops and shorts. However, Tori pretty much always had a few grease stains on her, so she was thought of as dirty. She’d been called ‘jewel eyes’ or ‘flame head’ because of the bright redness of her hair; she’d also been called ‘dirty grease hag’ because of how she looked after a time in the shop, so her self confidence was lower than a dead serial killer buried twelve feet under.

Moving away from New York to a nice place in the south, she hoped to possibly start her life anew as well as gain more confidence and strength, since both were at an all-time low right now. Even though she hoped to accomplish all this, she couldn’t help but be a little nervous.

I hope I’ll be able to find a suitable place to stay, she prayed, Lord knows I need all the help I can get. Another prayer she sent was that her Aunt Stacy wouldn’t track her down. Tori had never seemed to get along with Aunt Stacy, since she always was grumpy at family functions. Plus, she had a slight hunch that Aunt Stacy was responsible for her parents’ untimely deaths. However, she tried to force all her dark suspicions away and focus on the present.

Twenty-two-year-old Ted Carlton was finding it hard to concentrate on the book he was reading, THE DELOREAN STORY, ever since he’d gotten on the train back in Baltimore, Maryland. It was mainly due to the fact that the young lady sitting directly across the aisle from him was not only breathtakingly pretty, but also seemed to be in extremely deep anguish. He was also hoping that Beach Beast, one of his six Hemi powered 1969 Dodge Daytonas, would be okay after rocking around on the train. However, he dismissed that notion quick, since he knew that car had survived things much rougher than a rocking train. Yet, his thoughts, and his eyes, kept flicking back to the girl across the aisle. He’d noticed the size of her breasts, but what really seemed to draw him in like a bear to a beehive was how her seemingly multi-colored eyes played so well with her bright red hair.

I wonder what a young lady as pretty as her would be doing on a train to Atlanta by herself, he wondered quietly to himself, and why does she seem to be so sad on a sunny day? The young man knew he’d been through some tough times in his life. To start with, his father had died of cancer when he was ten years old, leaving his mother to raise him on her own. However, he was on his own now and was making a good living restoring and detailing classic cars. He was a certified car nut, mostly thanks to THE DUKES OF HAZZARD TV series and the two movies with the same name.

I thank the Lord that my love of old cars got me interested in helping them survive, he quietly told himself, though I sure wish I could’ve gotten my romantic relationships to survive the same way. This was true, for Ted had been in numerous relationships through the years, but none had survived very long. Why in all his twenty-two years of life, Ted had gone on exactly zero dates! Plus, when he would often approach a pretty girl, he usually ended up sounding dorky and like a total idiot. However, if he saw someone who looked down, he often did try to say some upbeat words to make them feel better.

Now here was a pretty girl, prettier than anyone Ted had ever seen, who looked like she could use some comforting words. Also, because of his special ability to communicate with and channel spirits, it seemed that a male spirit and a female spirit were urging him to speak with the lady. So, after debating about it, he decided to talk to the young lady and see if he could lift her spirits.

    CHAPTER 2

TORI WASN’T SURE WHY THE young man in the seat directly across the aisle kept looking over at her. She kept trying to tell herself that he couldn’t possibly be interested in her, yet each time her mismatched eyes connected with his kind brown ones, she felt her heart flip-flop. He appeared tall, quite charming and a little muscular, in his twenties or early thirties. She also noticed his large silver glasses, but they didn’t make him look like a nerd in her opinion. He certainly is a looker, she thought, yet
