INTRODUCTION
A bout 7 years ago I was writing a few internet columns called Rantings.
These came out about once a month and I received such positive response. That I decided to do a book, or I should say the Holy Spirit put this project on my heart. I was so disheartened by the way Christians take the Bible out of context or just ignore it completely in order to fit in
with secular society, that the Lord recently told me to do what I purposed in my heart a year ago, and the only thing I could think of was this book. The first title was Rantings
. Then, Principalities
. For it is not against flesh and blood that we wrestle, but against principalities. Then recently on a talk radio program, I heard this pastor from a church in Texas, actually defending a political candidates’ pro-abortion position. Here was a supposed Christian leader actually defending abortion. I realized that this pastor was trying to serve
Two masters" and that it will backfire on him at the final judgment. Hence, the name for this book.
In the following chapters we will discuss major political issues, find out what the Bible has to say about them, and more importantly, what we as Christians must do to save our country from the literal Demons at the gates
First though, I wish to thank my mother, who always played the Devils advocate and provided me with hours of lively debate that allowed me to always remain sharp.
Next is Pastor Rick. Rick got me started reading the Bible as The true and Literal word of God. For the Bible is Gods’ owners manual
as my Dad once put it. For the Bible lays out the Blueprints for life or how we should live our lives. Rick was a turning point in my life as he taught a bunch of us men on how to be real Christian men.
Lastly I wish to thank our lord Jesus Christ who showed me certain truths that I think he wants all Christians to know, for he desires us to grow in faith and knowledge that we will be able to stand firmly in the day of adversity. That day is now!!!
The election of 2003-04 was the first election in this country’s history where the war between good and evil has started. Now on talk shows you hear actual battle cries against the religious right
.
I will start each chapter with scriptures relevant to the subject, discuss the context in the bible, then how it fits practically into our lives. Enjoy, have fun and if you disagree with me remember, I am right, you are wrong, deal with it.
One more thing, In dealing with non-believers You are not going to change their minds. Liberals think the bible is a parable or a story at best, They will continue to do what is right in their own eyes (sound familiar?) and unless they are convicted by the Holy Spirit, they will continue on their own path.
CHAPTER 1
Gun Control
Jeremiah 48:10 Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.
T his seems to contradict the 5 th commandment Thou shalt not kill
. Or does it? All throughout Catholic Sunday school I heard this commandment as quoted above, but when I looked up the passage for myself, it says you shall not murder
Even our present day legal system acknowledges this distinction. Our founding fathers knew this was important enough that they wrote into our constitution a guarantee to keep and bear arms for every citizen. More on this later.
First a little background, I grew up in Pennsylvania during the 60’s and 70’s where hunting and fishing were a way of life for most young boys and guns were a way of life or a right of passage into manhood. Firearms were a way of life for us. When I joined the Air Force in 1979, my first duty station was Nellis AFB, NV. I was in a gun shop one day and saw a nice
