For the men in my life…Ganky, Creaky, Mushy and Button.
You are the blessed change in my world...

In a hot, airless factory, in a manufacturing city outside of China, Old Man had perfected his craft. His gnarled fingers reached into a bin on a conveyer belt and he easily caught the blue-black swatch of silk fabric. He expertly stretched the shiny black membrane over the metal frame until it was transformed into a perfect umbrella.
Where will you go, my finest creation? Old Man pondered.
Looking far down the line, filled with other somber workers, he saw a huge shipping container with the words, USA and NEW YORK CITY in bold letters. Old Man’s heart leapt knowing that this magnificent work of art would find a home in a free world.
Old Man’s age and the circumstances of his birth had erased any hope or ambition. When he was young, Old Man had dreams of a life that was devoted to helping others. Before Team Leader reached him, Old Man whispered these words, like a prayer, "Be the change you wish
