About the Author
I would like to dedicate this book to Heather and Madison my two wonderful daughters.
CHAPTER 1
25163.png"L ady Winterfall, you must stop all of this nonsense! Retract your wings and sit down quietly." I sat down after fluttering over to Vanier’s table not noticing that he was already in the class, I was bored and had to sit next to Killian. Killian was a fire fairy and honestly he doesn’t talk too much, actually not at all. I’m a sixteen year old female fairy, a moon fairy to be precise, long dark ebony hair, pale moonlight skin, and ice blue eyes. Killian being a fire fairy had red hair, slightly tanned skin, and out of the ordinary green eyes while fire fairies usually have dark blood red eye’s. I think he’s a mix with a forest fairy… But no one will know because he’s very anti social. Looking behind to Vanier I tossed her a note.
You think Killian is half Forest fairy?
After looking at it she stole a couple of glances at Killian and waging her decision, I took a sec- ond look to see where I stand in the vote. I have been seated with Killian for only two days and in all that time I only knew his name from the teacher calling attendance. I tried to talk to him, I really did. But every time I opened my mouth he turns his face away trying to ignore me. So I just stopped. Since he didn’t talk me, so when I’m bored I just stare at him analyzing his looks. Then the note flew back to my side of the desk. Yes we do share a desk, the class con- sists of usually 30 fairies and we all share a desk. Vanier shared with Adair, the three of us are best friends. Vanier and Adair are actually flower fairies. They are bright and colorful, Vincia has bright pink and purple hair, light skin and golden eyes. While Adair has dark skin, bright blue green hair and golden eyes. The note flew back to my desk and I opened it.
Defiantly, I mean his eyes are unusual… Why don’t you ask him yourself, he has to talk once in a while…?
Yeah, she’s right. It’s not like I’m poison. While Mr. Hollister was trying to explain about fairy ritual… I love this culture lessons but Mr. Hollister managed to destroy my love in two classes.
He made us feel like an inferior insect while he was the god of the land. I wanted to push him off his pedestal one of these days… I grumbled something under my breath and Killian turned his direction to me and glanced down the note. I gave him a sheepish smile and started talking.
Hey, sorry I said to Killian in an embarrassed voice, My name is Aisling Winterfall… We weren’t talking anything bad about you, it’s just that your eyes are so interesting and…
Its fine Killian said, I noticed you were looking at them and the question on your note.
I blushed bright red, he chuckled and gave me a kind smile his eyes, well they have a hint of sadness in them. I wonder why, mix race is not looking down upon these times but maybe his family was old fashioned and didn’t except the union. Maybe I hit a sensitive bone.
Killian I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings, you don’t have to answer…
No its fine ‘Ash’ can I call you that, it’s on the note.
I looked wide eyed and slowly gave him a smile. I think that would be great!
The teacher gave me the stink eye after that and I sank down on my seat. He smiled back and gave me a note.
You were right, I am half forest fairy but my mother has been dead since I was born… I have her eyes.
I looked at it utterly horrified and I felt so bad for even asking… I wrote down my reply and tossed it back to his side of the desk.
I’m so sorry to hear that… Your mother must have been a beautiful lady since your eyes are so captivating. By the way, do you want to be friends from now on?
He looked like I hit him with a rock, then his expression turned soft and kind. His sculpted cheek bones and strong jaw stretching into that wide smile. I felt like my being melting while he wrote down his answer.
I would be happy to, I’m sorry for my poor manners in the past
We stared into each other eyes until Mr. Hollister let out a huge throat clearing sound and we turned back to the chalk board.
face of a snake. He was definitely a moon fairy, probably pure like Ash. His skin is pale, dark silky hair that ends just below his strong jaw and tall broad figure.
CHAPTER 2
25163.pngI thought that she was discussing mean things with her friends about me, I mean… It was par- tially my fault if she did, I noticed on the first day she tried to look me in the eye and start a conversation I always turn away. I used to be in a private school, but I have to practically beg my parents to transfer me because it’s full of pure race stuck up fairies. I know I am mixed it’s plainly obvious, but not knowing my mother and the only thing she left behind, gave me pain and is very depressing. I had no friends there only bitter enemies. Then I moved here for my first year of winter classes. Mr. Hollister is babbling on about something while glaring in this direction once in a while seeing if Ash was talking. Ash seems to be his number one target to torture. I couldn’t believe that she actually offered to be my friend, I know that her looks were from a pure line of moon fairies. The first nice pure blood fairy I’ve meet. The wind chime made its twinkling sound and the class was over. I was about to turn and talked to Ash but her friends, the flower fairies rushed by her side.
Ash, let’s go! Its lunch and I don’t want to miss the nectar shake.
The one with light skin said and tugged on Ash’s arm. I was expecting for her to leave and forget all about me… But then she turned around and grabbed my arm.
Guys, this is Killian. Killian this is Adair and Vincia
She said and pointed at each one, both gave me a twin like smile. It’s amusing to see that they are so different physically but alike in expressions.
So would you like to come and have lunch with us?
Ash asked with a twinkle in her eyes. She had amazing deep blue eyes, amazing figure and pure pearl white skin. Looking at her is so intimidating; her beauty is not so approachable like the allure of flower fairies. She
