I grew up in a military family. My father was a career officer in the U.S. Army. Following high school I joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Following an honorable discharge I earned a B.S. degree and worked for an electrical companty in various engineering positions for 37 years.

PROLOGUE
In the vastness of the Universe there are millions of galaxies, and within them there are unknown numbers of planets. In our Milky Way, there is a solar system that includes a planet we call Earth. The blue marble allure of this planet stands out amongst the beauty and vastness of space. Science has estimated its age at approximately 4.54 billion years. Earth, from its beginning has continued to evolve due to internal and external influences. Its origin has been a continuing debate between religious belief of a Supreme Being that created the universe and science that believes in the Big Bang Theory. But one thing is sure, as with all observed planets and stars, Earth has an end time. Science believes its end will follow the studied order of the universe. Perhaps some celestial interruption, such as a comet or asteroid impact will accelerate the process. Science says that the planet’s ultimate demise will come from the black hole at the center of its galaxy. Religion believes that the Supreme Creator controls
