About this ebook
Describes how growing up and playing tennis with the daughters of my mom’s tea circle of friends. The daughters gave me the mind and strength to travel alone to Europe I discovered that my silky long straight black hair worn down the front of my white silk, shirt black skirt straight just above knees, black jacket and then shoes were three inch heels sling pumps click as I walked on tiles and at the Louvre Museum in Paris one male followed me out and stopped me to invite me out to dinner. In Greece one male offered to pay for lodging in tourist hotel. He kept looking at my hair. I had to get the conceirge to get me a taxi to leave and get to the train station - I purchased a Eurail Pass cost $100 American bills - you can get off anywhere in Europe and get back on anywhere. That was when I took advantage to walk the small villages and markets.

I was born during the depression era... However, family was not affected as my father owned property which was later bought by the city to build the Fiesta grounds and he owned and property where a popular cafe was always busy.... and my dad had a grocery store. He used to take me to the farmers market to get produce for his store. Since my older sister and brother played tennis at the nearby park on weekends I slowly learned how to focus where the ball should land so as to make my returns very competitive which they loved having to backhand tennis racquet. When I was alone I would practice hitting the blank wall of an empty building. I learned early how best to use my time when I was alone... Now writing poetry in solitude...read Bible daily, play piano, read murder mysteries written by women and write poetry as spiritual growth leads my octagenerian years.... World Poetry Movement “Best Poet 2012” Certificate “Poetic Achievement” 1990 from Vassar Univ.

My Life as a Poet
Writing poetry after I travelled alone to Europe late seventies inspired my creative mind to enjoy solitude as May Sarton expressed in her book Solitude
creative minds focus on silent periods of time that include meditation.. when it inspires others... I thank God for the silent times.
The World Poetry Movement gave me a certificate with title Best Poet 2012
which hangs on my wall framed and three gold medal pins to wear on clothes. Also the Vassar University mailed me a certificate of Poetic Achievement
1990. What will happen to my awards when I give up my live body and soul?

A Connundrum
Studying English literature occasionally
Spit out words that made students
Pronounce loudly all day in order to print into the mind;
Lips quietly moving as body moved along cafeteria line...
Memorizing new words repeatedly so that
As walking repeating new words quietly
Gives you the needed upper grades in class;
There were two words besides conundrum...
Paradigm was a new word popular with media
As well as enigma...words learned early used in college literature...
There is so-o-o much we didn’t know;
A little secret is that if you spit out a large word
When walking with a special person
Elicits laughter so will bond with becoming better friends
You try the moment laughter is needed to make friends
Some people warn of reputation you might get
But in college you can wear it on your tee shirt
"..Paradigm...conundrum..enigmatic...
Watch people smile at you!
Positive minds give hope...
A Cuss Word
She is...
A social outcast, a member of
No cast in India usually men of
Imoral habits or in social situation
One who is gossiped about
In social groups or gatherings
You hear pariah
usually about
Prostitutes, kept women or very
Immoral men with strange sexual interests...
But a pariah
can be those so called
Millennials that would rather study
Because they have a future in sports,
Music, dance, focus hiking...
Travel the world and hike mountains;
She does not find groupie essential to her life
Hard to make friends because of plans
To travel the world after grad from college
Writers like to use words to enhance
Their writing using large words...
Accronyms
Have noticed codes that prevail
When millennials converse with each other
As when you are at a chicken or taco quick service;
You feel surrounded by undercover gang members;
Their new speak is so-o-o coded
It leaves you dizzy trying to figure out
What sounds surrounds you
Sound as if aliens have landed...
Using initial letters of other words
As in ROFL
...rolling on floor laughing"...
Now you know popular letters flying around;
When you see millennials waving hands around
Using initials shortened words
And you think it is coded
Can you imagine twenty more years
And passing new minds young poets and writers
New crisp acronyms flying around you
As though aliens or gangs with new speak
Because of computer tech language everyone uses...
Addiction 1
No-o-o not drugs, alcohol nor
Clothes, nor bars, movies
Not close friends, hiking, jogging
Not cell phone bods, nor
Groups that love to crawl the
Malls for specials then lunch...
Many males are known for their book library
Especially college grads that want to write their book
But after reading Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged
Filled with philosophy and psychology
And extreme word description of
Personna involved in story
You know deep down in your heart
An unique experience for life
Must happen before you can write
The mature life experience opens
Your eyes as you reach back to your
Library for reference and
Your heart, mind and soul
Tells you everything will be
Allright as you occasionally
Duck into a church and reach out
In your relationship to God
Through Jesus Christ...
The most important addiction
To millions around the world
As missionaries travel to the
Darkness of obscure countries
Deep in Africa, Asia and Middle Eastern parts of the world-
Mother Theresa in Africa went down in history...
So can you if your addiction is
Important in the eyes of the world
As a book of a personal journey
Touches the hearts of students
Who will pick your book to study.
~ Addictions ~
I thank God my dad taught me
Early the good addictions
And bad addictions...
The bad of course land you in jail
Like taking what is not yours
Even if no one is looking
Like when you are in a store
The manager views the film after closing
So they can see the customers who are careful
Who stay a long time walking around,
And those customers who look around and
If no one is looking
Put candy small packs in purse-
I viewed such behavior once
Said nothing as I fear they may follow me out
And I fear for my life,
When you become a nark
The word gets around...
Smoking develops heart problems;
Quick sex spreads HIV and ghonorrhea;
Better for smart chics to wait;
It is not exciting unless your
Intimate partner is special;
That is why dildo are hard to find...
Even in your best friend’s apartment
I had a roommate once and she confessed....
She called it clean sex
...
A Drink Comes in Handy
Our old house was not really that old
Neat sidewalks, cut lawn, tidy and
No trashy scraps of paper lying about
When dad was not having coffee at a cafe
A few blocks away with his buddies
Who also owned property and
You know hem men are as they
Talk about their land and employed
Men to care for mowing and to trash cans...
The mind wonders if he is planning
To buy another property or lot to build
Men like to talk about building seeing
The dream rise in his mind.
Have you a father you saw have dreams
And worked them over coffee or drinks with other men?
That is how some men get rich
With ideas from male friends over drink-
He sold property where eventually fair grounds were built!
A Higher Power
Many atheists will discuss this
As a myth until a occurance
Unexpected pushes your mind
To think and imagine believers
Have something to convince your
Senses you have not heard some
People’s miracles as reality-
A reality you may not yet reached
Because a busy day filled with
Thoughts of yesterdays and
Tommorrows you will do what
Is at the bottom of your list...
Like Walt Whitman alone on his farm
Or May Sarton alone at home
In a small New England community
Your heart, soul and mind
Pushes you to pick up pen
And blank sheet of paper...
Yes God - Thank you for guidance!
A Longing for Milk
Begins when you are just a new born babe
All across the world even in the most
Impoverished parts of the world
And when you no longer suck the breast
Within our souls a kind of hunger lingers
Men go out with their spears in the jungle
Wild parts of the world men feel a need to hunt
While women who cannot bear children
Help those who have more than they can handle....
Travel to other primitive parts of the world
Community houses and tents women
Feed and play in a commune village....
Womens milk is there for small child in need
Therefore women must remember why
God put them here....
God is Love....
The parts of the world where there are no
Clinics, buildings, homes, water, the
Saying: "...Love thy neighbor...in order to survive.....
Prayer morning...day...night....
~ A Martini ~
Anytime, anywhere...
Just to relax
... you say;
No matter who you are meeting
Or the occasion
Or this may be your first drink
Just small short sips...
Slowly you feel anxieties
Float away as you feel centered
As the smooth vodka insert
Itself into your various body parts...
Tiredness, fears, anxieties
Float away as the chemistry
Does its work, so-o-o
Be careful you don’t become
Addicted to this drink...
Better a half glass of excellent red wine...
The effects are similar
Your tiredness of the day disappears!
Amazon
Think quietly alone of a future
Possibility that women can be the
Control factor of this world...
Planning deep in your soul an ideal
Universe non manipulative as men
Like to do in all facets of governing life...
Put the soft touch in all matters in
Political and religious matters
And watch the atmosphere become electric
As in Europe, South America, Middle East
The women behind men in control...
The female six foot tall with silk clothing
Know there are more important roles
Rather than caring for crying new borns
Try the roles available roles to fill...
One moment after a friend beat me at
Chess and I discovered she could not be beat
She felt like an amazon to me...
The amazons today can be seen on popular T.V.
And what about Pelasi in government?
A Pound at a Time
Yes you can!
If you have inherited the large
Body size of mom or dad
You can change that by
