Cancer in Me!

About this ebook
The story discusses the concept that those in the community and in hospital talk about cancer as though it is automatically related to dying. It also expresses the dislike I feel when being spoken to like I’m in God’s waiting room. The story centres around my diagnosis of Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2017 and my refusal to just give up and die.

I wish to thank June for her ongoing encouragement and support writing this book. Her knowledge, insight of writing and generosity with emotional support has been extremely helpful. June has recently had a baby, and everyone knows babies take up a lot of time, so I am grateful she made time to help me. I enjoy the early morning contact I have with my Mum, my sister and her four children. The regular chats and playfulness keep my spirits up. I also cannot forget my mother’s Maltese Terrier, he such a comfort and support when I visit. I would also like to acknowledge Maree and her two children. Their unconditional love is a big part of my world.
To Louise and Silvia for their guidance, nurturing and genuine support. I appreciate the extra mile
