About the Authors
8123.pngFOREWORD
About 10 years ago Villi (Violeta Ovcharova) was looking for a co-author in order to expand her literary outreach. With the help of a proxy, she found An (Antonia Parcheva). After the exchange of a few phone calls and e-mail messages, something clicked, as if they had known each other for years. It turned out that they shared the same high literary standards, the same spiritual values, the same desire to awaken the tender souls of children and to enlighten as many people as possible. Thus the Villi An duo was born.
In short, what has connected them both as co-authors is their devotion to the Creator and the eternal light he is generating. This devotion is always tracing the path they have chosen. The two authors are eager to share the knowledge they have with children of various ages and even with adults who nurture their inner child as long as they live. They are eager to help people choose the right path to love, mercy, empathy and reverie for all human beings, as well as respect for Nature and the Universe at large.
Once youngsters and grown-ups become aware of the notion of Oneness, they realize that everything in the Universe is interconnected and that people, nature, Mother Earth, and the cosmic consciousness are tightly united to weave the ultimate apotheosis of the soul‘s eternal life. The two authors hold dear the saying The soul fills with light and joy whenever it can serve the people
and this is the motto that guides them in both their personal and professional life.
This is what a literary critic – Marin Kadiev – has written about the merits of the stories you are about to read:
"Modern Fairy-Tale Narrators
This slender volume contains ten books for children and adults. First and foremost, however, these fairy-tales contain an imagery that does not stem from any literary tradition, or any myths and legends, they rather have found a specific imagery in the modern ambiance and the everyday forms of life. The fine realistic settings give birth to characters that can truly be called our contemporaries. The master narrators have turned everyday stories from ordinary life into unusual episodes and events, which we keenly perceive through our senses. This unusual artistic trait makes them especially accessible for the sensitive soul of a child and the experienced soul of an adult. The fairy-tale quality of these stories is rooted in the spiritual nature of both the animated and unanimated nature, in the poetic quality of everyday actual events, which acquire new dimensions by virtue of the unexpected turns and twists of the literary plots.
These beautiful and realistic stories radiate spiritual purity, moral light, and divine faith in man’s innate striving for doing good, for uniting with the soul of nature and the ultimate Creator. Much like High Priestesses in the Temple of Belles-lettres, the Villian duo takes the children into a cherished world – the world of love, goodness, compassion, and empathy. With their vision and world outlook, where the realistic and fairly-tale dimensions co-exist, the authors uphold the higher human values, such as the faith in the divine and the faith in one’s own capacities. They thus imply that should you come to believe in something strongly enough, it would inevitably happen, and that what matters most is the practice of love among people themselves and their love for nature and the divine, which awakens and elevates the ethical essence of humans.
Do read these tales and see for yourselves the impact and validity of the messages woven into each and every of these stories!
Marin Kadiev,
Literary critic"
But however important, it is not the praise of literary critics that the Villian duo is striving for. What we would like to hear is our audience’s feedback. Tell us what you think about our love-infused stories and what other topics you would like to read about in our future writings.
