Brad Gilmore is a radio and television host born and raised in Houston, TX. Since 2011, he has been the host of The Brad Gilmore Show which covers the worlds of sports, music, and pop culture. Brad currently hosts "The Hall of Fame" with WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T on ESPN Radio. Brad began his career covering music and worked as a regular contributor to Houston Press and the hip hop blog DayandaDream.com. Aphrodite rose, a mere shadow

comparisons only flimsy webs

lamps are dim when you’re around

diamond drums dancing streams strum

mirrors burst at Adonis’ faces

looking glasses whirl like gyroscopes

gyrations cease crinkled shamrocks bud

as breezy naked feet toe-to-toe waltz by

moonlight halos your face and crown

fierce silver eyes like Persian felines

fuchsia sequents skirt your heaving breast

we the men of the night giddied flames in flight

sparks in feuds between Thanatos and Eros

keys flash for hammock chambers and silk pillows

fettered to trees satin sheets scything swaths

impenetrable egression slithering high tail it

crooning pigeons spy from statue’s limbs

Hades hors de combat hobbled Atlas

my cosmos crashing careening into convex caves

you are on the pirate schooner swept beyond twilight1
