About this ebook

One of the most spectacular and miraculous shows on earth took place in 1531 in a quiet town of Mexico City, Mexico. And my trip to this miraculous site of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico was, in itself, a great miracle!

After I prayed to Our Lady’s picture that was given to me by a customer when I was working as a cashier, a great miracle took place. That very minute after I prayed to Our Lady of Guadalupe’s photo, my sister called me to tell me that she was paying for my trip!

And that miraculous photo that I prayed to is none other than the cover of my book!

After several trip cancellations, one of which involved a scammer impersonating a priest, I was able to go and visit the famous and miraculous site of the mother of God, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. I lost three thousand dollars to of that impersonating, scamming priest.

After the itinerary was paid and done, that impersonating priest just disappeared. No tour to Mexico took place. I just laughed about the whole thing. My sister and her husband, my brother-in-law, were also scammed. They traveled in January 2018 to Mexico using another travel agency. Meanwhile, I told myself that that was the end of my dream to go to Mexico to visit Our Lady of Guadalupe.

This Mexico trip was again cancelled after my sister had paid the whole itinerary due to not having enough people to join the tour. It was moved to November instead of May 2018. It was as if God was directing this trip. It was because this time, I was able to convince my best friend, whom I have not seen for three years, to join me in this pilgrimage tour. And she did! It was another miracle of Our Lady of Guadalupe from the prime Creator!

“All is well that ends well,” the English poet Shakespeare had said.

The rose and the tilma and the mother of God are all unexplainable mysteries. Roses that gathered in wintertime in deep snows, the cactus or aloe vera fibers that made up the tilma or mantle or cloak, and the painting that puzzled and baffled the scientists and experts are the highlights of this book.

An ophthalmologist from Japan who stood atop the chair to examine the eyes of the mother of God had fainted and fallen from where he was standing. When asked why, the eye specialist said that the eyes of the Madonna seemed to move and were alive.

The portrait that no other scientists or painters could explain and that had baffled many for many centuries had not tarnished even after more than five hundred years. And know that the roses that were gathered during wintertime where no roses had ever thrived and that had been placed on the tilma or cloak made from the cactus or aloe vera plant by the person who saw this heavenly vision had produced a very miraculous and beautiful painting that millions of people visit every day of each year. The author was one of them.

The word Mexico itself means “the center of the moon.” Little did anyone foretell that this “center of the moon” country would see a lady from the sky standing on a half-moon in December 9, 1531.

This painting from heaven is on display at the main altar of the newly built church in the shape of a cone, just like its famous mountain situated in Mexico.

This book is a product of so many miracles you would not want to miss. You will find out in this book how several stems of red roses had produced a heavenly painting no one can explain. You are so blessed to have this precious book, which is as precious as you are and maybe even more, my dear readers. The mother of God has a mission for me and for you, and that is to propagate love to all through her miraculous painting from heaven. In The Rose and the Tilma, Nuestra Signora Maria de Guadalupe invites all of you to her heart, mind, and soul.

    DEDICATION

    DEDICATION%20PHOTO.jpg

This book is lovingly dedicated to Beloved Mary, Mother of Jesus, Yeshua Ben Joseph. Our Lady of Guadalupe made my trip to Mexico possible when my sister offered the Author a free trip to Mexico. And after two cancellations, influenza, and travel warnings, the Author’s trip pushed through. The first trip was cancelled when I was scammed by a travel agency after paying in full. The funds remained unrefunded and were not returned. The scammer used the name of a famous priest in the Philippines. The second reason was another tourist agency cancelled because there was not a lot of people who enlisted in. A great miracle took place when my very own sister offered my free tour to Mexico to visit Our Lady. She paid for my tour first class. Her name is Mrs. Jovita Gutierrez-Perey. May GOD ALMIGHTY grant the desires of her heart and bless her forever and always. Then after this full payment, I was on the verge of backing out of the trip to Mexico because I was struck with influenza one week before the trip. To top it all, the United States Department of State had issued a level 2 travel advisory to all Americans traveling to Mexico due to the country’s crimes, natural disasters, and migration caravans disruptions. So I said to the Blessed Mother that if I am able to visit her in Mexico, I will write a book on her miraculous apparitions. This book which was produced out of several miracles and cancellations is now in your precious hands. You and I are so blessed to have it. We have a mission to fulfill.

And, the Author; most of all, is so privileged and thankful to all and PRIME CREATOR SOURCE of which full dedication of my book is greatly offered for making everything possible for my travel to Mexico to push through beyond the shadow of any doubt.

I offer this book; equally, in devotion and love, as well, to my beloved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jamito and Teodora de Guzman Gutierrez, a former Barangay Captain and first-woman councilor, of our hometown, Calimpac, in the Philippines; respectively. And to my brothers and sisters, from the eldest to youngest, Teodoro, Jacinta, Teodorico, Julita, twin sister of the Author, Jovita, Teodocio, and Jemena, including their respective families, this my precious book is also joyously dedicated. I deeply dedicate this book; also, to all my ancestors and relatives especially my siblings who went to Heavenly realms early at birth. They are Josefina, Joan, Thaddeus, and Thomas.

A very sincere dedication from the bottom of my heart goes to Miss Sylvia Martínez, who gave the Author a picture of the Our Lady of Guadalupe, the same miraculous photo where the Author prayed that she be able to come and visit the Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. Within minutes, my prayers were surprisingly answered! The miraculous book cover photo is this picture.

Very special and warm dedication also goes to Miss María Jessica Bongo Cataraja, my best friend, and a lay Discalced Carmelite, fellow spiritual sister in Christ; who joined the Author in her pilgrimage tour to Mexico. Despite so many odds, as well, Miss Cataraja also hurdled many challenges to join the Author in this holy tour.

To all my fellow pilgrims from Canada, under the very holy leadership of Rev. Fr. Edwin Galea, including our Tour Guide and Bus Driver, Jorge Vasquez and Santiago de Compostela; and the International Heritage Tours of Canada, this my precious book in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe is also dedicated. The Author was the only American in this pilgrimage tour to Mexico that took place from November 15-21, 2018. Actually, the Author traveled to Mexico one day ahead of the Canada group, on November 14, as her aircraft schedule only allowed.

And to my former Sisters of the Congregation of the Visitation of Holy Mary in Monte María, Richmond, Virginia, USA, whose prayers and love are always on my side; this book is also cheerfully dedicated.

    May GOD be Praised!

The Gutierrez Family. The Author’s parents, the former Barangay Town Captain, Jamito Javier Gutierrez, and the first woman-councilor of the town, Teodora Navarro de Guzman-Gutierrez, with their eight surviving children from bottom left to right, are Teodoro, Jacinta, Teodorico, Julita, the Author’s twin sister, Juanita, the Author, Jovita, Teodocio, and Jemena.

According to our beloved parents, the daughter’s initial name-letters are taken from Dad. It symbolizes our father’s love and commitment to defend and protect his girls . While the son’s initial name-letter is taken from Mom so that the boys will protect and defend our mother.

Dad worked in the United States of America for more than twenty-five years as a stenographer at the airport of Wake Island, USA, to send all his children to university education. While our beloved mother stayed with us to care for us. Dad only went back home back to the Philippines once a month each year. God bless our parents for their love and commitment to us, their children.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Author is deeply grateful to her dearly beloved sister, Mrs. Jovita Gutierrez-Perey for her untiring love and concern and funding Miss Gutierrez’ trip in the most charitable of way that I, the Author, will forever cherish. Equally acknowledged is the Author’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Teodorico and Ruth Bobis Gutierrez, for their great support of always visiting us here in the USA and Canada, traveling halfway around the globe from the Philippines, to see how we are.

Juanita de Guzman Gutierrez is also very grateful to Miss Sylvia Martínez who gave the Author a most miraculous picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe to whom she will pray to be able to come and visit the miraculous site of the Our Lady of Guadalupe and that prayer was answered positively and quickly in a minute.

Miss Gutierrez is also thankful to her spiritual sister-in-Christ and best
