This book came to life because of my brother, David and The Gang at Liberty Mannor. Thanks for all the crazy things that we did growing up that are even more fun to think of now that we survived them. I also want a shout out to my buddies at Western School who spent countless hours in detention with me for being creative, and to Mr Wolf, the principal, for putting up with all of us.

    Chapter One

Hurry up Nana, I’m gonna be late! Nana our St Bernard was a giant hairball with attitude. She had to explore every tree before she decided which one she’d pee on, it was a ritual with her; she went from tree to tree and back again before she’d decide. She lifted her head to look at me then went back to smelling the snow; finally she peed and ran back to the door. Good girl Nana. I shut the door and locked it tight, Mom, were ready leave for school. Where’s Madison? I grabbed my rucksack and went to the front door to wait. Jake, Kris and Kelly were already waiting by our front door; we walk together to school. Mom, Madison’s gonna make us late! Just then she came running down the stairs, I’m right here, what are we waiting for? she smirked holding her stuffed dog, Chocolate Dog as she called it. It was a large chocolate colored dog with a pink nose, she drug it everyplace she went by its front
