About this ebook
Jos; his wife, Maria; and their new baby share their home with Grandpa Garcia. Except for the babys constant chatter, it had been a quiet home. That was until the night sky was filled with stars that moved like a swarm of locusts.
A hostile race of aliens had journeyed to the planet, and their arrival would surely mark the end of the quiet life Jos and his family lived. In fact, this invasion could mark the end of the entire world.
Jos hoped the invasion would pass him and his family by, but his hopes were dashed when a terrible banging was heard at their front door. The nightmare was about to enter his home, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
Ernest Mack
Ernest Mack, is 64-year-old licensed private detective. He was born in San Diego, California at the U.S. Naval Base. And moved to Philadelphia at the tender age of three. He has traveled the country and abroad and has two homes which he shares with his two-year-old son and his wife. His work and residence are in Philadelphia, but his heart and a tiny cozy house is in the Philippines. A devoted husband and father, Ernesto enjoyed reading stories to his young first son. Ernesto noticed that there seemed to be a composition to his babys infant chatter. He could clearly hear distinct phrases that were repeated, and this suggested there might be an unknown language at work. This idea was the basis for the book Jess. Was the baby speaking an unknown language? And if so, who could understand it?

Author’s Note
One of the first things you must understand before reading this book is how to pronounce the word, Jesús. Jesús is pronounced hey-zuz. Whenever you see an accent mark over a word that begins with j, it’s pronounced with an h sound. So Jesús is hey-zuz and José is ho-zay.
Chapter One
20709.pngIn a quiet suburban neighborhood of Los Angeles, what can only be described as a miracle was witnessed by the four inhabitants of a small well cared for home. José was a carpenter and at that time made a good living. He shared the small but comfortable home with his wife Maria and Juan Garcia, his grandfather. Maria was a registered nurse and worked at a nearby hospital. The house was initially owned by José’s grandfather. It was a small one-story house with three bedrooms, an airy kitchen, a work shop in the back for José and a garden that ran along the front and side of the house for Grandpa.
They lived in a quiet residential neighborhood about half an hour east of downtown Los Angeles and only about a ten-minute walk from Glendora village. In the summer, the village staged concerts and plays in the beautiful park not far from them. Maria enjoyed the location because they could always get fresh food from the farmers’ markets nearby. They were only about thirty-five minutes from Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and Universal Studios and only an hour drive to several good beaches. It was a beautiful place to raise a Family.
