About this ebook

Thousands of years have passed since Maoke and Bota created a race of supreme beings, known as natives, who interacted with and observed humanity. Over time both races have evolved, facing many challenges, though humans remain unaware of their superior counterparts.

But a breakthrough arises in the form of Dorn. He is the son of Ira, a native who found comfort in the arms of a human woman. Dorn exists a step beyond DNA and finds himself reborn again and again, coming to Earth many times to live through many lives. With intellect greater than even those other natives can imagine, he seeks to reclaim his place in his home world. But when he falls in love with a human woman on Earth, just as his father had done, it may change his destiny forever.

In this science fiction novel, a paragon of an advanced race journeys through life on Earth and finds himself unexpectedly falling in love.

I t was a warm spring morning when I arrived on what the humans called Earth. It was a planet of four season. I was on a final mission. I was promised on return to live my life on my world. My name as Earth people would come to call me was Dorn some would call me other names. The year was April 22,1922. My first time on Earth was in Spain, Yet I had been here several times. I was born to a beautiful Russian woman in the mid fourteen hundred.

Amy was a member of the Earth family. I was born through a DNA transfer, from my own body. Amy, my mother escaped the Russian Government by coming to Spain. I had been born before, on a planet in the Spores galaxy. It sounds complicated, really, it’s not. My race was supreme in every way. I would find this out in years to come.

I was smarter than the children of Earth. I was schooled in astrology. I was always watching the stars in the heavens. I believe somehow in the space of time beyond this planet called Earth, I belonged. Sitting on the stoop one clear night, I asked my protector Otis who I was. Otis explained to me that was for my mother to say. Otis called to my mother told her what I asked. My mother came to me sitting on the stoop.

Dorn, you want to ask me a question son, she asks?

"Mother I feel as if I belong out among the stars. I said. Mother how is that possible, that I can have such a feeling.

She replied, My son, you will find where your destiny lies soon enough. It will come to you. Then you will be gone from me forever. Just remember Dorn, I have loved you from the day you were placed inside me, your sister too. Lying in a field one night. A voice called to me. Dorn, soon my son, soon.

Raising up I ask, Who is there? Lying back, suddenly flashbacks came crashing through. It all come back to me. I didn’t realize what was happing at first. Suddenly it came to me. I was born on this planet, I was not from this planet. I left Spain, my home the only mother I knew.

Walking to the docks, a place I spent most of my time. I was sitting waiting for something to happen. Something did happen. A man came to me, asked if I needed a job. He was a Captain of a ship, I agreed.

I left on a ship to England, where I had time to think. I thought of my home, memories of my world came crashing through each time I was alone. When would I go home? Yet how would I get there? I could not say, only time would tell.

I met several people of valor in England. I stayed several years, then returned to Spain, to the port of Barcelona.

Having a small amount of money, I did just fine. One night in a tavern, I met a man that would become a dear friend. This man would change my life, while I was on Earth. His memories would linger for many years to come. We talked several hours in the pub. The Earth’s sun had started to shine through the window. My friend told me he had plans to go to the new world. Only he had no idea where it was, West or South.

Taking my hand, he said, My name is Christopher Columbus. I told him mine.

Dorn? He said, That is not a common name.

I’m not a common person, I replied. I have heard several sea stories. I told Chris, no ships wanted to venture that far west.

Chris said, "I plan to find a ship, to go on as a crew member. I told Chris he can always go to the queen.

Chris asked, What do you mean?

I said, Chris, the queen has ships, money, men, you should go see her. Several days later I met Chris again. Chris told me he had seen the queen. She told him to find a crew then return to her. I told Chris of my schooling.

I am schooled in astrology, I can be your navigator. Lying on the dock something I found relaxing, I looked at the night sky watching the stars give off their lights. Straining my eyes, I swear I saw several stars move. They were not shooting stars. These stars moved then stopped. Lying still I listened to the sounds of the night. The smell of the sea. I started to rise.

I heard the voice again. Soon my son, soon. Memories of the Marder-to-go’s. The rivers through the city looked as a paradise in space. How I long to be there. I thought this human body I was in; I suppose it was ok for the time I was here. I remembered the times with Mea as a child. I knew now, my time here was limited. I told Chris the next time I saw him.

Later that week I met Chris in the pub. I told him the story. Chris looked at me with a skeptical look. Dorn I’m not sure about you. One thing I can say you’re not right, too much ale you’ve had.

In the days to come, we spent several hours talking and planning. Two weeks later we had a full crew of men. It was time to go to the queen. The morning in the queen’s chambers, we laid it all out for her. It took several tries to see the queen. On the morning of the second week our queen sent for us. The day was warm. Several ships we could see anchored in the harbor, new ships.

Chris said, Today is the day. As we strolled down the cobble stone path.

My friend was right. The queen had her troops escort us to the port. The captain pointed to three ships. The Nina, Pinta, and the Santa Maria.

The queen said, Return to her with something from the new world. The month was March, it was late in the day. Chris brought all supplies and men aboard. We went to the edge of the harbor.

Chris said, When the sun comes we will leave. I was up early. The cool breeze felt good as it come from the sea. Just before sunrise the sails were hoist, the wind caught the sail, our journey had begun to a new land. I felt privileged to be one of the first, to go to new world.

Several months at sea, through the storms. The men were getting rough, wanting to stand on land. I did understand what they were going through. There was talk of munity after the ship was lost.

Chris was on deck one afternoon. Dorn! He said. Maybe we’re lost. I myself wondered of this, yet I felt confident in myself. I told him the stars were in line. There is land west, I promise. Looking west to the horizon I could see only water.

From nowhere I shouted, Look! pointing into the air everyone gazed.

Chris said, It’s a bird, so what.

I replied, Chris it isn’t a sea bird, it’s a land bird. The next day later early in the morning a call came. Captain land there, someone shouted. It was late afternoon when we dropped anchor, everyone was excited.

Chris said, We’ll go ashore at sun rise. The year was October 14,1492. The sun come up early, as we made our way to the shore. Making our way to the beach walking into the forest I could see this land, was a fruitful place. I told Chris it was an island. There were several of them towards the South. Chris ask, An island Dorn, how can you be sure? I told him I could not say, yet it would prove to be true.

On the beach that night I was staring into the night sky. I saw a bright light appear. Was this a star, I think not? To some of the men it was some sort of sign. To me it was something else. It was time for me to leave. Before I could leave I must die as a human. I walked from the beach, the tea was on the fire.

Chris asked, Dorn, come join me. You see the light? I told him I did.

The men call it a sign, a new way. What do you think, He asks?

My friend, I will not be joining you on your return journey to Spain. On this very soil, I will die. The light you see is for me. Chris, I will leave you in two days, the light will leave the sky. I told him it was good going through life with him.

Ships log, C.C. 1492, "Dorn was a good man, a very good man: As Dorn said, the light left the sky. As it did, the men met some of the natives. We traded several things with them on the shores of this new land. Two day later we loaded all the supplies and left on our journey to the South. Staring at the stars in the night sky, I often thought of my friend Dorn.

I was not sure how this was done. Someday I will ask Mekon about the life I have. The life Ira and he shared as humans on the planet called Earth. I left my human remains on the beach. My essence restored back to my body on the ship. Wakening up on a ship, the first person I met was Mekon. Every thought, every memory came back to me as I laid on the bed.

Mekon said, You ‘ve been gone a long time Dorn. Good to see you son. I could not speak at first. I was making sounds from my mouth.

Mekon said, It was part of the transition Dorn. You will be complete soon. I tried to say Mea. Mekon informed me that she is fine.

Dorn, I want to do this again if Tudo will allow it.

Ira said, Do it. Mekon was right, it took one hour to regain my strength back. I was up walking around.

Mekon said, I need you to try to shift to your human body. It wasn’t all that hard. I changed into my human form right in front of his eyes. Seven hundered earth days I was back on my planet.

A place I have memories of, so many memories. I closed my eyes, I could see Mea, and myself watching the ships come and go. Running through the courtyard, walking the streets of Ratio. Every memory came crashing through. Opening my eyes a voice called to me, it was Mea. I ran to her. Mea ask all kinds of questions.

Dorn, Ira asked for you to come to the council. Mea walked with me to the chambers. It had been a very long time. I remembered everything, it was if I never left. The first one to enter the chambers was Tudo, my grandfather, I kneeled.

Opa said, Rise Dorn, you need not kneeled to me

I replied, It’s good to see you Opa.

Opa said, It is good to have you home. You’ve been missed, I promise you.

Tudo ask, Dorn what is your outlook on these humans? I told Tudo that we have humans here. Ira and Mekon have lived on Earth.

What I’m asking is, Dorn do you think we could live among them?

Opa, why would you want to? I told Tudo we could not live there in our native body as we see one another.

Mekon ask, Dorn, do you think we could mate with the humans?

Again, I asked, Why would you want to? They will never, not in a thousand years come close to us. In fact, we will never have to worry of them ever coming to us. They’ll never be that smart. Mekon, I believe they should be exterminated.

In the years to come, I went on several journeys, several other planets. I was asked to go in my human body. I had no problem with anyone. I was asked if I was from Earth, I told them no. I thought, there’s others that go to Earth, besides us? This is something I must talk to Mekon about. My journeys took me to several planets, in my native body. I was accepted in both bodies.

Humans could not accept being as us. Humans had colonized Earth thousands of years ago, they have evolved in to what they are today. The humans on Boldlygo were nothing as the humans on Earth. Yet when they first come here they were different. I remember them when I was a child.

I told my elders if they wanted to live on Earth, they should create a virus and let it go on the planet. However, it was good to be back home again. I left for my cabin to enjoy my stay.

It wasn’t long before the council sent for me. Ira just could not leave me alone. I watched the suns come and go. I can’t remember seeing a place as home. From all the systems I’ve been in this was the best. Two weeks of talking to the council I finally had enough. I left Boldlygo, and went to the Moon of Plano. I stayed for for a while. My world kept coming to my mind.

I left for the Moon of Xon, in the Kashi system. Even then, I wasn’t satisfied, I stayed for one year. Xon had a system as Earth. One sun, and one moon, the being was different. I saw no humans. I began to have a strange feeling, a feeling to go. I left for the Pegasus galaxy, the planet of Valoria.

Valoria was a beautiful planet, tropical with a beach as I saw when I was on Earth. There were being of all kinds, as on Plano.

Sitting alone with my mind thought, I finally I decided I wanted to go home. I had been gone for a while, maybe Ira had forgotten me. I returned to my home world of Boldlygo. I sat the ship down on the pad, wouldn’t you know, Ira was the first to greet me. Sometimes, thoughts ran through my mind. I wondered if he was my father. It wasn’t the first time I thought of this.

Ira stood with that staff, waiting for me to come to the staging area. Even with him being here, I assured myself, it was good to be home.

The next day I watched the two suns come up. From my cabin it was a beautiful thing to see. The two moons at night was just as great. A knock on the door, a sentry was sent to me from Mekon. I was asked to come to the chambers. Tudo, Ira, Mekon, and Mea. Mea was the most intelligent being I’ve ever seen. I at the time did not know Mea had went through the change, it happened while I was gone. This I found out later.

Mea called to me. Dorn come walk with me, we need to talk.

I ask, Mea, what would you like to talk about?

Mea said, I want to hear about Earth. I want to know everything.

I said to her, After the time I’ve been back, you ask of Earth?

Mea said, Well Dorn, if you stayed around. You get this feeling as you say, then you run off like you do.

Mea, and I were walking the trail, to the Marder-to-go’s. I sat telling her of the short time I was there.

Mea asked me, Dorn in your human form, you had to die. Do you remember your life there? I told her I remember everything, everything. I told her about Chris, and my Earth mother. I also told her of my sister. Mea looked at me strange. In the time, I was there, I walked around to several places. I find there’s no threat to us, or anyone, they’ll never be. We placed our feet in the water as we talked for hours.

Mea said, It was good to spend time with you. We will talk again soon. As she turned to walk away.

Mea ask, Dorn if you could would you go back? I told Mea I wasn’t not sure, because dying was a feeling I never wanted to feel again.

Several weeks had passed. I walked into the city of Ratio. Ratio was a very large city, built several thousand years ago, I had gone there to have some tea and a slice of breadcake. Mea and I spent time at the tea house, when we were young.

I was content to be left alone. That wasn’t going to happen, Ira was going to see to that. He had sent for me again. I was standing on the stoop. I saw three of our ships. I turned and looked at Mekon.

Dorn, they’re ours, they’re returning from Earth.

I ask, Why Mekon, what is it about this place that intrigues you? The three ships land, there were humans stepping from the ships. Mekon, and Mea left me standing. It wasn’t long before they returned. Mekon told the council that we have twenty females, and five males.

I ask, Mekon, what are you doing, experimenting?

Mekon said, You know our world was dying. This was what Maoke started Dorn, we’re just carrying it forward. My father, and his father you know this. It’s in the archives Dorn, go read them. I want to mix their DNA, and do as we did with you. I looked at Ira.

Yes Mekon, as the way your father did with you, and Ira. The way you did with my Earth mother. The way you did with the Earth family.

Mekon replied, Dorn, you’re a part of this. Mea entered the room and looked at me.

I asked, Are you apart of this?

Mea answered, It was my idea. I told her you’re know better than the rest.

I ask, "How many time have you died? I would say none. The humans were standing by the hanger. I could see the women were scared, a sentry led them to the hanger closed the door. I was sent to talk to them in my native body. I walked to a very beautiful young girl, I believe she was an Indian.

She said, I’m not afraid of you. She had the bravest look.

I bowed to her, Please, I do not want you to be afraid of me, or my people. A young man stood as he began to say.

We have spent two and half years on this thing you call a flying machine. Why were we taken from our families? Why were we brought here? I told them all their questions would be answered. They needed to try to rest, I’ll speak with you later. The next day I entered the lab. Mea was talking to her father, of course they were talking to Ira. Ira raised his hand.

Dorn come here. Ira began to talk to me. You don’t believe in what we’re doing with the humans? Dorn let me enlighten you. If not for what Bota, and Maoke did long ago we, our people would be extinct. Our population is small, our planet is small. The humans have been chosen because they can reproduce faster. Someday it will be different, our race can live on through the bodies of humans. I turn to face Ira.

Ira, what if one of these human’s children go to Earth? They will have the gene of the natives.

    That’s correct, Ira said.

So, Ira, what if this human has a child that looks as we do, what then? Have you or Mekon ever thought of that?

Ira said, In time you will see I’m right Dorn.

Yes Ira, if it pleases you. I left the lab. Two days later I returned to the lab. Mekon was talking to Mea. I heard him say.

Mea, at first, we will go slow. Let them grow, as you say they are primitive. They will become more intelligent as time goes.

I ask, Why is this so important?

Mekon replied with harsh rage, "Dorn I’ve heard enough from you! Would you rather our race to die? When you died, we took your DNA and transferred it to your Earth mother, you began a new life. When you
