Introduction

Astrology is the study of the stars and their influences on our lives, at specific moments. It is the study of time and its influences on our lives. Astrology is actually one of the oldest sciences that made an impact on human civilization and its way of living. The influence of the planets varies according to place and time and this is why time and place are the basic tools in astrology. People born under the same zodiac sign share a general outlook of the year, month and day. However, each person will have his/her own personal specific interpretation according to his/her specific time and place of birth, in what is called the natal chart.

The planets that I worked with in this book are the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Lunar Nodes are also taken into account at certain times. Eclipses are always important to study since they their effects are noticeable in our lives most of the time. You will find a general outlook of the whole year and each month, all explained according to your sign. This will give you a great idea about the quality of time awaiting you. Besides, you will find at the end of each month a selection of the best and worst days. Time has a quality of its own and one minute can actually be very different from the other. The movement of the planets will be explained in this book accordingly and you will be forewarned of any upcoming time bumps. This year can be just as exciting as last year and even better. Many of the planetary influences will be favorable and empowering especially Jupiter, the planet of good opportunities. You will be able to get over obstacles and resolve many important issues related to your career and relationships. At the same time, you will need to get in touch with your own personal needs and look after your physical and mental health. Weak physical issues will need serious attention, even if they appear unexpectedly. Ultimately, this serves as a prevention or a warning of possible future setbacks. This is not news for you, Aries, since you have been busy with such issues last year. Certain events will appear in your life and will serve as opportunities for spiritual growth. You need to discover your inner potential and planets like Pluto, Uranus and Neptune, will be timing important events for you. This will be discussed more in details below.

What will be totally remarkable this year is the evolution of relationships. You need to admit to yourself that certain people have a negative influence and this is when you need to make the right moves. You will be blessed with the presence of Jupiter in Libra until the 10th of October. Mars

Mars is your ruling planet and this year it will be moving between Pisces and Scorpio, unlike last year when it hovered for almost nine whole months in two signs only (Scorpio and Sagittarius). You will engage in different fields of interest and this is very rewarding. However, you will need to focus on these points of interest in order to get the most of their benefits. You will understand the influences of Mars each month. Wherever Mars is transiting, that will be your focal point, your battlefield. The most important transit is of course the transit of your own sign which will be between January 28 and March 10. Let us say then that February may not be the most peaceful month.

Uranus

Uranus has been in your sign since 2011 and will stay there until 2019. It is a long visit that will leave nothing standing still or as it is. During the past six years important changes took place in your personal life and during the next two years, more changes are coming. Uranus is the planet of the unexpected. It leaves nothing as it is. Whatever it touches has to change and this can be on personal, social, professional or financial level.

In 2017 Uranus will touch the lives of those born between the 10th and the 19th of April since it makes a direct hit on their sign. Others born around or close to these dates should be alert and ready for unexpected events that can force a change in their routine. You will learn a lot about these issues and come to terms with a necessary need for change in order to blend better and easier with life. Sometimes a dramatic break in routine or path takes place in order to learn a lesson or two. You may change schools, line of study or you may have some difficulties when abroad. This is an important year to work on serious lines of thoughts and work. However, on the positive side, Saturn will empower you with determination and will power. You can overcome obstacles once you have a plan. You can even score very high professionally and academically, especially if you were born between the 11th and the 19th of April. This means that Saturn will help you overcome some of the negative influences of Uranus. You still need to follow Saturn in the monthly sections in order to determine where you stand.

Neptune

Neptune has been transiting the sign Pisces since 2012 and will stay there till 2025. For Aries, it awakens your intuition and spirituality. You have about eight more years to empower yourself and connect with the deepest powers of love, anxiety, fear and other emotions. You can start a spiritual journey, if you haven’t started it yet and it is not too late. Neptune works in subtle ways and you will not feel its effects on the short run. Pluto

This planet has been in Capricorn since 2008 and plans on staying there until 2024. It squares your sign from the tenth solar house of career, social position and duties. You have probably felt the changes in these areas over the last nine years. Your career has been in a roller coaster with consecutive and drastic changes. Authority figures have probably meant very much and played decisive roles in your life. This year, you can expect Pluto to highlight your relationship with parents, bosses or even high authorities. One of your parents may actually be the one who is living a big change or a major crisis.

You will continue to live such effects until 2024 and that is why it is important to embrace the need for a change and do it yourself instead of waiting for a cosmic storm to herald one. Solar Eclipses

Solar eclipses usually usher events that can trigger external changes in our lives depending in which house they fall. They are New Moons, only stronger and demanding. They are important timers in our lives and we should be in tune with their vibes.

This year and as usual there will be two solar eclipses. The first one will be on February 26 and the second one will occur on August 21. How do these eclipses influence you and where do they fall in your chart?

The first eclipse will take place in Pisces, your solar twelfth house of self-discovery, retreat and redemption. This year you are expected to look deep inside yourself. You need to be honest with yourself and start working on issues that weaken you. It is time to empower yourself with more knowledge, intuition, faith and studies. You may be interested in new metaphysical studies, different line of workshops, yoga, spiritual or religious seminars. It is time to build a stronger foundation. This eclipse resonates with the influences of Neptune in Pisces and thus, it encourages you to know yourself better. This eclipse may also trigger some anxiety or fears. It can also trigger a physical illness that is only a reflection of what your spirit is lacking or suffering from. Dare to look deeper into yourself. Do not wait for the universe to spot those weak points for you.

The second yearly eclipse occurs in Leo which represents the house of entertainment and creativity. Eclipses usually highlight issues that need reform, certain action or attention. This year you need to look into your creative talents and check what is lacking there. Maybe you are ignoring a skill you love or been born with. Maybe this is the year you fall in love, get married or have children. Hobbies, special talents, sports and fun are under the spotlights. Take care of your children and loved ones. Lunar eclipses

Lunar Eclipses usually happen twice a year. Lunar eclipses are Full Moons only stronger. They are different from the solar ones in that they usher inner or emotional changes depending on the house they fall in.

The first lunar eclipse occurs on February 11 and falls in Leo, your house of love and creativity. This lunar eclipse resonates with the above mentioned second solar eclipse and its highlights. This month may put a special relationship under the spotlights. You may wish to live a wild experience or try out an in-born skill. This eclipse may bring you in contact with something you truly love or care for.

The second lunar eclipse happens on August 7 and falls in Aquarius, your solar eleventh house of friendships and social circles. This eclipse will push you to evaluate certain relationships. You can also meet a special person or join a social club. You will be ready to explore your options when it comes to competitions.

Lunar Nodes

The lunar nodes are not planets. They are virtual points where the moon’s path in the sky crosses the ecliptic (the Sun’s path). However, their influence is noticeable most of the time in certain areas of our lives depending on the sign they are in. This year the axis of the node will be in Virgo/Pisces, your solar sixth/twelfth houses during the first four months. There is a need this year to look after your physical, spiritual and inner health. You may find the idea of a spiritual, detox or a hideaway retreat very appealing. This lunar node axis resonates with the first solar eclipse which means that more emphasis is put on the above mentioned issues and they should not be ignored.

The nodal axis will shift to Leo/Aquarius and will be effective starting May. This placement resonates with the second solar eclipse and it means that attention is definitely needed for issues mentioned under the solar eclipse of August. Romance/Family

These areas of your life will be positively active. Jupiter is the planet that will bring love and romance to your life. It will help you solve problems and resolve complicated and pending issues. If you are in a steady relationship then you can expect this year to flourish and help you bond better with your partner. You may get married, have kids or celebrate a big family event. If the relationship is not stable then Jupiter will help you get it on the right track. Jupiter ushers only good events. If you are not involved then this year you may find the love of your life. Venus will visit your sign between February 3 and June 6 and there will be a retrograde motion in April which means that during the first five months you may fall in love or relive romantic moments.
