Cry Mercy at Decay

About this ebook
Eric Bruno
When I developed my mental health diagnosis, I was not able to function well. I was experiencing auditory hallucinations and delusions of persecution and of religious base. I was isolated from everyone and had no one to support me because I chased everyone away. I was homeless, incarcerated, and institutionalized many times. Since then I have been able to get myself together. I am taking medications, active in treatment, and finally achieving some independence. I wanted to publish my work to help people understand what it is like from the perspective of someone who is experiencing emotional health symptoms.

Fire its core remained

Rock- Earth became its name
From flame to deadly winter
Life shall be dead-cold instead of life, melting rock, and sinter
-HEARTH
A collection of Eric Carmen Bruno- poetry and short story being all-encompassing of his vision of his own modern folk-lore comprising Scandinavian mythology, interactions of all things, and the modern dilemma of finding peace in piece rather than rags.
A short story on the nature of living: sex, drugs, and human interaction. This story is designed to depict a world of chaos and corrupt nature. Some, including myself, see this crooked scene all over this country (being one of the best), and likewise the other nations of this world. The tale tackles addiction and malicious malignant attitudes and behaviors in action. This world is a slippery slope, many, are trying to better the standard of living and increase positive reinforcements for our youth attempting to one day achieve their dreams… they hope to raise the pedestal of this generation, and the next to come, on every front of which the war of well-being is waged. We hope it is waged and not raged on behalf of any of our kin, I hope.
Disease and illness grip us all in some matter to some degree. Perhaps it manipulates us all in every interaction to some measure. We all long for something. Let us find some measure of truth, of decency, and of righteous nature within our psyche, and likewise the psyche of Earth itself will heal. Let us bring forth a reign of the power of peace and of sanctity for this entire human race.
Segments collide and the whole of the text is divided. I, the author, have attempted to write every line with utter meaning. The poetry may strike some as poignant- their messages have struck myself. Many days and nights writing the segments have opened my eyes to a fact that there is much ill-ease at my own extent. My life is one in hidden confusion. Many rights are forgotten some nights and some days are full of extremes of business to sublime relaxation. In any extent, I do not embody every aspect of this story, but am merely attempting to depict what my psyche has engulfed along this path of life. I have added some passages merely to add well-being to this story but in any case: I hope you may reflect on this writing tonight.

A REVERB IS SUNG
a short collection of pain and mental affliction in America
the singing Flame-Eater
RANT OF CIRCUS-GNOME
(One brought low by malignancy of man)
Mortals forced into the depths of Hel
Hear my tale of woe and sorrow
One of having no compassion to borrow
Entrapped we are born
Unto the land of forlorn gain and haughty minds
Winds and clouds cover blistering sun
And the winds and clouds dissipate quickly for some
Here I am more than one
Cast aside and berated
The stories all belated
The power of unholy woe
Whirlwinds and suffering
Innocents bound in suffrage to a mighty force
eating their gain and inflicting pain
Testing and questing to reveal their stain
And unto the beast we are born
Beast in wind breaks free from scorn
Inflicting their pain unto the heads of the less
