Bette Price
Bette Price is a marketing and management consultant who combines real-life experiences with sound, practical theory to help companies strengthen their leadership teams and develop growth strategies. Prior to operating her own business, Bette was an award-winning print and broadcast journalist. She was a columnist and feature writer for the Kansas City Star and was part of the team that earned the newspaper a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the tragic Hyatt Hotel skywalk collapse. Prior to joining the newspaper, she hosted her own news and information television shows in Cleveland, Ohio, and Kansas City. Bette is the author of True Leaders, which has been published in seven languages and has been quoted in such major publications as the Financial Times, Investors Business Daily, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal. In addition to writing her own books, she has authored several business and memoir books for others. For more than twenty years, she was an active member of the National Speakers Association. It’s been said that when major difficulties happen to you, that’s when you will find out who your true friends are. When my disaster happened I found that to be true. That’s not to say that all those we know don’t care, but it is the true friends that choose to stick with us and support us through the full duration of the ordeal. Like others before me, I found that those who did stick out the duration would be few. But surprisingly there will be another few who step out from the shadows when you least expect it. That happened too. Thus, I would like to acknowledge those wonderful few:
First are my dear friend and former client, Naomi Replogle and her Retired Admiral husband, Tom. I was at their home when I got the word. Their immediate support and help has endured through the years despite the fact that they live miles away. Although we have since lost Tom to a higher good, Naomi continues to be there as a longtime and valued friend.
